"He's Jiang Zhengxing's son," Gu Junzhu said. "Xiao Yue cut off one of his hands; it couldn't be reattached, but he's not in any life-threatening danger. The surgery is over and he's been sent to the intensive care unit."
"So it's Jiang Zhengxing's son," Ye Xingbei murmured. "That explains it..."
"Yeah," Gu Junzhu said. "Like father, like son."
Ye Xingbei chuckled and looked down at herself.
She was covered with a sheet, unable to see anything: "Am I okay?"
"You're fine," Gu Junzhu said in a relaxed tone: "No vital organs were injured, and the injuries are not severe. The doctor said you'll recover completely in a few days of rest."
"Just escaped death," Ye Xingbei breathed a sigh of relief. "It's a good thing that child was young, otherwise I might have died."
