Grey could not let go of such an opportunity, as soon as he realized the Gnome was momentarily stunned, a lightning blade slashed at the body of the Gnome. The Gnome was frozen only for a quarter of a second, enough time for Grey's attack to hit.
The Gnome was about to be struck by the lightning blade when his Puppet reappeared. The Puppet was partially damaged after he sacrificed it the first time when Grey was about to strike, now that he was once again in such a position, he took the same action, bringing out the Puppet at the last moment to help deal with this fatal crisis.
Boom!
The Gnome was sent flying by the impact of the attack hitting his Puppet. He might have managed to escape the crisis with his life, but not without injuries. Being too close to the Puppet meant that he was still hit by what was left of the attack, which sent him flying.
