Chapter 95 - A New Beginning

Back in the village of the Frost Wolf Clan, a portal opens just I. Front of Connor as he sat on the porch of the village Chief. Jayce walks through looking around when his eyes meets Connor's. "Connor! Are they in there with Vincenz?!" He rushes over to him as Connor quickly stood up.

"Yeah, they're inside. Did something happen?" Connor questioned with a worried look.

"I'll explain everything, let's go." Jayce replied as he walks to the door and opens it.

Inside the cabin, the room went silent as Terek, Celestyn, Vincenz, and Dogma all look over to the door as Jayce and Connor walk in.

Dogma could see his eyes were filled with panic. "Jayce?! What happened?!"

"Beelzebub appeared as well as something callled Nightmare. He was fighting Beelzebub while Apophis took on nightmare and as I was leaving I sensed another person nearby." Jayce sounded winded as he explained the situation.

Dogmas eyes widened as she could now sense Fenrir's presence spike with another that overwhelmed his. Her eyes went black as her vision changed over to view the desert. In the moment her eyes saw the fight, it was already over.

Unknown had his arm pierced through Fenrir's chest. Blood dripping down from him as he gripped Unknowns arm tightly. His form shifting back to human while coughing up blood.

"You won't get my core…" He said as he reached over to his right which faced Dogmas view, an orb floating over the palm of his hand. "You might be… Me from… Another timeline. But you… Won't get this power, or Chaos' power." He smirks sending the orb through the portal.

As she watched the he scene play out, she could hear the portal appear before Jayce.

"If you can hear me…" His eyes shift over to the left, into Dogmas eyes. He had already know she was watching from a distance. "Watch over him…" His lips muttered something she couldn't hear before he glanced back over to Unknown. The two dissappear and her connection to him gets severed. When she came back here eyes were tearing up as she drops to her knees.

Jayce stood in front of her holding the orb in his hands then pieces it together. The room had fallen deathly silent except for Dogmas cries. Celestyn stands up to comfort her mother, Terek walks over to his half brother whom he treated both a brother and a friend, and placed his large hand onto Jayce's thin shoulder.

"We woke him back up… Just for him to die…." Jayce stares down at the orb, sighing heavily. "Just when I get to know both of my parents are alive…"

Vincenz walks over to them "He left you with this orb for a reason."

Once she had gathered her emotions finally, Dogma looks up at her son. "He's not gone yet…." She placed her hand against her chest. "I still feel him, he's just too far to reach." Jayce sighed a slight relief.

"I think I know what to do then." He said as he raises the orb to his chest"

"What do you mean?" Terek questioned him then realized what he was about to do. "You don't mean…."

Before Terek finished his sentence, Jayce had already pushed the orb deep into his chest as he slowly began to absorb it and fuse with it.

Dogma stands up, brushing her dress off then wraps Jayce in a bubble of her own aura. "This power was what that Unknown person was after. Fenrir gave this to Jayce, knowing it would be for the best…" she seemed to have understood Fenrir's goal, but she couldn't figure out why that man was after it.

After a few minutes went by, a deep purple aura surrounded Jayce's frame. The fragments of Chaos were fusing well with him, better than how Fenrir took it.

"I see why now.." Dogma said to herself. Celestyn, Terek, and Vincenz all sat on the couch in the livingroom as they watched carefully.

Vincenz could sense the chaos and glanced over at her. "Is that what I think it is?" He asked her.

No words needed to be said as she looked over at him. He could see the pain in her eyes but also the hope.

"I see… We need to find the rest then." He stood up and walked over to the window.

"You're talking about those fragments aren't you…." Terek asked as he looked over at his father. "I noticed his aura changed to that of the bodies we saw back in the desert."

Dogma finally sat down in one of the chairs across the room. "Back when I was known as Obsidia, Fenrir fought a being known as Chaos a couple of times. The second time Chaos didn't stand a chance so when our original world had been destroyed, his fragments shattered and ended up buried when we created this one." Conner came back into the room handing her a cup.

As the room had calmed down, Jayce stood in the middle still deep into absorbing the fragments he had been given within the orb. His eyes closed, however, he could see two silhouettes in the distance of the void.

"Hello?" He tried to call out to them but they still stood a far. A moment later one vanished and the other began to walk over to him.

"So your name is Jayce I take it?" The figure grew closer but still no face or texture. "This will be fun. Maybe I'll be able to take yours instead."

"Take mine? Who are you and why are you even in my mind?"

The figure stood in front of him. His silhouette a dark purple as it pulsed. "You definitely resemble your father." He reached up stroking his hidden chin. "Hmm. Maybe not. You still have their blessings so he still is alive." He shrugs to himself then places his hand on Jayces shoulder. "If I can't have you then I'll help you."

"Again… WHO ARE YOU?" Jayce questioned the figure again.

"Oh right, I forgot you never actually met me yet. Just call me Chaos."
