Alfraed stepped forward, his single eye softening as he knelt beside Movis. The golden glow of his healing magic spread from his palm, wrapping around Movis's injured arm and shoulder. The demon winced briefly as the warmth seeped in, the swelling and bruising fading under the spell's touch.
"Sorry about the arm," Alfraed said quietly, his tone sincere. "Didn't mean to wrench it that hard."
Movis snorted, leaning back on his elbows as the pain subsided. "Don't apologize," he muttered, wiping blood from his chin with the back of his hand. "I was trying to beat the hell out of you. You won fair and square."
Alfraed smirked, sitting back on his heels. "In that case, I'll apologize for ruining your plan. Didn't mean to make you look bad in front of the family."
Movis barked a laugh, though it turned into a wince halfway through. "You're insufferable, you know that?"
