It is middle of the night and in one of the rooms of Xia Manor, there could be seen a woman of average appearance lying on the bed with a big stomach holding the hand of a teenager girl about 15-16 in age.
aside from them a couple could be seen in the room, the man had an average appearance but the same could not be said for the woman she was the epitome of beauty, with Raven coloured hair and beautiful facial features. she was holding the other hand of the woman in the bed.
on first glance anyone could tell that the woman on bed is pregnant and is about to give birth to a child and the two at the side are consoling her. Suddenly a middle aged woman entered the room and seeing the condition of pregnant woman immediately ordered " Lord hongyi, please can you wait outside the room"? the man or more specifically Xia hongyi nodded and instantly left the room without wasting any time. the middle aged woman than called " Dongxue, channel your profound energy and envelope her and keep her warm." Dongxue nodded and proceeded to do just that and the middle aged woman approached the woman and pushed the stomach of the woman and called " dongling, keep holding your mother's hand."
outside the room the master of Xia Manor was pacing back and forth nervously. the one giving the birth to the child is the head maid of the Xia Manor, normally he wouldn't have been this worried but the woman has been serving the Xia Manor for years and have become like a sister to him. As he was in his own thoughts he heard the crying of a child and he entered the room to find the midlady holding a child in her arm with a complicated expression on her face.
the child had white spotless skin as milk with blonde hair and sea blue eyes. Adding to that the baby fat on his cheeks and body he looked very cute and you would want to pinch his cheeks at first sight.
his eyes then went to the woman lying on the bed without moving, looking into the eyes of mid lady he knew what happened. he sighed sadly and said " so it happened after all" he knew but he just wanted the confirmation.
the midlady also sighed and said " we can't go against the fate after all." with another sigh she gave the child to dongling and said " dongling, you have to take care of your brother from now on. you both have only each other left as a blood relative."
The teenage girl received the still crying baby and a look of determination flashed in her eyes as she said " En, I will protect my little brother." then she looked at the baby and said " after all he's so cute" after that she held the baby close to her and started poking his cheeks lightly with her finger with shining eyes while others just had a sweat drop at this scene.
" I know his name should be Zen Long" dongling decided as he nodded to herself satisfied.
the baby was of course zen who just got born. be was crying because the damned old lady spanked him.
Dongxue who was silent till now snatched the baby from dongling and reprimanded the girl "dongling, you shouldn't do that he is still not used to skinship." Zen immediately stopped crying and moved closer to her while giving his supposed sister and old lady accusing look.
" my lady, then why are you pinching his cheeks?" dongling asked giving Dongxue a pout for taking his brother from her.
Dongxue looked down and saw that her hand have subconsciously started pinching the cute cheeks.
Zen at this moment had a deadpanned expression. he didn't even care anymore.
'This is surely the work of that old man, I knew that he wouldn't let me have everything easily.'
In a unknown place an old man was sitting peacefully until he started laughing '' I hope you like my little present, kid. Beauty is a double edged sword after all.enjoy,.''
Zen for some reason wanted to curse the old man but he had other important matters on hand. first he now is sure that he is in floating cloud city and more importantly in Xia Manor. he felt a little bad that his mother passed away giving birth to him but that's it, after all he didn't even know her mother's name. as it looks like Qingyue's mother is still here so that mean either Qingyue is yet to be born or she is is older than him because in novel her mother left her when she was still a child.
Finally they left him alone after he acted to sleep for a few minutes. ' So I am the brother of the maid of Xia Manor, well at least I'm not part of Xia family.'
' jade, you there?' he called out in his mind and surely a feminine voice rung out in his mind.
