Jojo's excited call received no response, only "The Growth History of Humphrey" continued flipping through pages, as if an invisible person was listlessly browsing.
Recalling something, Jojo quickly stood up, allowing the pen to roll off the vibrating desk, leaned forward, and closed the window.
The wind outside was blocked, but as Jojo hoped, "The Growth History of Humphrey" continued to be flipped by a mysterious breeze inside the windless room, until it stopped on a certain page.
Jojo reached out to pull the book closer, but feared disturbing the fragile connection, so she brought over the oil lamp and leaned over to read.
"The messenger from the land advised Humphrey to leave Pirate Island forever, the sea goddess's disastrous tsunami will soon engulf the entire island..."
Jojo slowly read out the text, surprised, she lifted her head: "Brother, do you want me to leave the Lennon Islands?"
Whoosh—
The pages began turning back, stopping on a page.
