They stayed there for an unknown period of time.

After the former elf king, Lord Vega and the dwarf prince, Gallian had left the ancient forest, the latter showed the new route that the dwarf prince had chosen for them to pass through. This route was located underground and through a secret way that dwarves had made before the alliance city was complete. Lord Vega didn't expect that this secret passageway was located near the ancient forest. If not for the wooden walls, it would be easy to stowaway people through this route. Just thinking about this made Lord Vega's mood a bit bad.
