On the way back to Jinguan City, Bai Qingjue walked side by side with Bai Qingyan, talking about today's events in Jinguan City.
"The coroner has examined the case; the butcher was not subjected to corporal punishment. He had drunk too much, and while chasing with the officers, he had already suffered internal injuries. Because of the alcohol, the internal bleeding accelerated. It didn't manifest initially, and he wasn't noticed when thrown into prison. Later, when he shouted about the pain, the prison guards ignored it, and that's when he passed away," Bai Qingjue said.
Bai Qingyan responded affirmatively. As long as it wasn't corporal punishment, it was alright. Just uncertain if the people would accept this explanation.
