Dad Caldwell sighed and looked at Tessa: "Tessa, we're all family, there's no need to let things get to this point."
Tessa said sadly, "Dad, you came to see me yesterday. Didn't you hear what the doctor said about my condition... I was this close to dying, if that person was a second later jumping in to save me, I would have been dead."
Tessa didn't voice the latter half of the sentence.
But Dad Caldwell knew, which is why he looked utterly embarrassed, his expression filled with guilt, unable to say anything.
Grandma glared angrily at Dad Caldwell, "You're such a coward, look at the daughter you raised."
Tessa looked at Dad with heartache,
Dad was a foolishly filial son, he would only lower his head and nod obediently in front of Grandma.
