Shawn Morton cried and mumbled, sniffling: "I've already gone through the pain, now I'm crying out of happiness, can't I? The wedding is in a few days, I'm part of the bride's family. Seeing that the man she's marrying is alright, I feel relieved."
Milo Morton chuckled: "Didn't you say the man she's marrying is not half as excellent as you?"
He sipped his drink, his thoughts drifting away. If he had known she was being forced by family to marry Jasper Vance, he would have proposed to her, then the groom now would be... him.
"Did you see the wedding invitation? The ceremony is at the best hotel in our city, and it's all-inclusive catering. You won't be surprised if it's not some model who could afford such expenses. I only found out her husband is not a model at Zion Caldwell's engagement party. He's not just any model; he's a Chinese member of a Western wealthy family, even the richest man in town shows him respect."
