"That new colleague in our department, what's her background? Do you know?" Colleague A asked gossipily as she went to the bathroom with Colleague B.
Tessa felt awkward. It was said that the restroom was the source of gossip, and though she hadn't believed it before, she couldn't help but believe it now.
Colleague B smirked, "No idea where she comes from. Just heard that the car she comes to work in is supposedly a Bentley."
Colleague A: "I heard that too. From her attire and manner, I just felt she wasn't ordinary. Her wallet, clothes, and shoes are all from shockingly expensive luxury brands. The bag she's carrying is also a limited edition. We work in media and have sharp eyes for luxury goods. Those shoes on her feet, we couldn't even tell what brand they were until someone looked it up and found out that it's an Italian custom design, meant to fit the foot shape. Even if they're new, they won't hurt your feet."
