Afterwards, Quinn Leroy still had Renee Langdon wrapped in his arms. Holding the same position for too long always made the body a bit stiff; Renee shifted a little, wanting to find a more comfortable posture, but Quinn pressed her down. "Don't move."
"I'm stiff," Renee said. Quinn's hand loosened slightly, and then she adjusted her position in his arms before lying back down.
She closed her eyes and couldn't help burying her face against his chest, rubbing against him a bit.
His fingers absently toyed with strands of her hair as he breathed in the sweet scent on her.
Suddenly, he said softly, "Your mom—would you be willing to let me handle that?"
Renee, who'd been drifting off, was jolted awake by the question. She was dazed for a moment, then finally asked back, "What did you say? I… let you handle it?"
"Do you want me to handle it?" Quinn asked again, his expression serious, clearly not joking.
