Miss Aniston and Renee Langdon went to the company and took care of business there. Afterward, Renee wanted to go straight home, but she was worried her mom might be waiting for her at the apartment.
So she thought of having Miss Aniston take her to Quinn Leroy's place, but Miss Aniston refused.
She strongly insisted, avoiding suspicion, it must be avoided.
Miss Aniston said she would find her a place to stay. For now, she'll temporarily stay at a hotel.
Coincidentally, Tessa Caldwell ran into Mena Meyers in the hotel elevator.
"What a coincidence," Mena greeted with a smiling face.
The proximity between the two made Renee Langdon feel a bit nauseous.
But there's only so much space in an elevator; there's no way to avoid it further: "It is quite the coincidence."
There's still a service person in the elevator, so pretenses have to be maintained.
Mena, with arms folded, kept staring at Renee Langdon, "Heard you had a fever recently?"
