Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Young Man Secretly Watching the Beauty

Qian grabbed the stick from the other person, snatched the plastic basin from her mother's hand, and forcefully placed it on the other person's head, then pushed them away.

"If you dare hit her again, just try it!"

The man was shocked by Qian's violence. This girl seemed gentle and refined, but when she spoke, she exuded a powerful aura.

At this moment, Jia Xiufang was also stunned by her daughter.

Her daughter was particularly good at studying, always helped out at home, and rarely spoke, always speaking softly. Everyone thought she was an introverted child.

But when her mother was in danger, this introverted child was fearless against an adult man and initiated action!

As her mother, Jia Xiufang's emotions at this moment were complex.

She stood behind Qian, feeling as though an unprecedented energy had erupted from her daughter's petite frame. She thought of this girl who would soon be getting married, and the long-suppressed bitterness finally exploded.

Jia Xiufang sat on the ground, slapping her thigh and crying out loud.

Qian, using her powerful aura, stared at the man who dared to hit her mother, making him break out in a sweat. Having been a leader all his life, this domineering temperament was ingrained in him, and he was very scared when Qian glared at him.

The man felt that the small girl in front of him possessed an aura more astonishing than that of an adult man, and hearing Jia Xiufang crying made him even more frightened.

"I give up, you're just two madwomen..." He was merely disciplining his own child, so how did he end up entangled with such difficult mother and daughter?

The man turned to leave, but Qian stepped forward and grabbed his arm, speaking in a strong tone.

"Apologize."

"But it was you who started it—"

"A-po-logize!" Qian repeated, her voice especially forceful.

The man had no choice but to apologize to the crying Jia Xiufang.

"Big sister, I'm sorry. I was just anxious disciplining my child, I didn't mean to hit you..." Sobbing, this was truly unfair for him too, wasn't it? The madwoman sitting on the ground crying scratched him several times, where could he seek justice?

His own daughter only knew how to steal things, while the madwoman's daughter was so sensible; that's the difference!

"Oh my fate, why is my life so bitter? My girl is so young, and she's already getting married!" Jia Xiufang wasn't crying because she got hit.

She cried because she saw how sensible Qian was, knowing how to protect her. Thinking about her sensible daughter getting married soon made her particularly sad, and women going through menopause often express their emotions in a crude and direct manner.

Qian rolled her eyes. Although she had been reborn, this scene was astonishingly similar to her past life.

The man was at a loss due to Jia Xiufang's crying, anxiously rubbing his hands.

"You can leave; she's just dealing with menopausal syndrome with poor emotional management, don't mind her."

Qian's words gave the man a great relief, and he quickly left.

Jia Xiufang, hearing her daughter speak about her like that, grew both angry and sad. She picked up the basin and threw it at Qian, "You heartless girl!"

The basin vendor, who had been watching for a long while, was intimidated by this mother and daughter's combat power. Seeing the fight was over, he cautiously spoke up.

"Um, the basin, it's ten for three!"

Qian dug out ten from her crying mom's pocket and handed it to the vendor. Jia Xiufang quickly stood up from the ground, too busy to wipe her tears.

"I just took one; for the remaining two, I'll go to your shop to choose—troublesome girl, wait till we get home!"

Qian stood in place, watching her mother change facial expressions in an instant, unable to help but shake her head.

This refusal to suffer any loss, her mother had continued this from her past life to the present.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a bucket of water by a vegetable stand. Qian walked over and politely asked.

"Can I borrow the water to wash my hands?"

As the water flowed over her fingers, the irritation in her heart finally settled down. She repeatedly washed her hands, feeling somewhat frustrated by her own reaction earlier.

The compulsion to help a child because of her obsessive-compulsive disorder had already somewhat undermined her self-imposed cold-hearted image, so why did she step in for her mother afterward?

Wasn't she supposed to be cold-blooded? Didn't she tell herself not to bother with her male-favoring parents again?

But why, when confronted with situations, did she still unconsciously react?

Qian spread her hands open, letting the water droplets glisten in the sunlight, talking to herself.

"Emotions are the most useless things in this world. Too many emotions only bring one trouble. Only those who have no means to gracefully resolve crises resort to violence. I shouldn't have acted just now; it seems I'm still young."

She attributed her out-of-character behavior to her youthful age, giving herself psychological hints in a voice only she could hear.

No one could hear, but from afar, someone saw it.

On the rooftop of a six-story residential building next to the vegetable market, a man in sportswear was secretly observing Qian through a sniper scope.

The nearby companies were conducting fire drills, and as a small boss overseeing everything, Yu Minglang had seen a very interesting scene through his binoculars while surveying the terrain.

A pretty girl was having an argument with her mother and saved a child who was being beaten by his father.

This girl was extraordinarily beautiful, with exquisite features and wearing silver-rimmed glasses, appearing to be a particularly well-behaved girl. So why was Yu Minglang sneaking a peek at her?

Because in the middle of this girl's eyebrows was a blood-red mole, much like the one Zhou Zhiruo had in "Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber," but even prettier.

Yu Minglang had a secret. When he watched "Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber," he didn't like the gentle Xiaozhao or the quirky Zhao Min. He was fond of Zhou Zhiruo's tenacity. Of course, he wouldn't disclose this kind of secret to others.

Therefore, when he saw a pretty girl with a Zhou Zhiruo-like beauty mark, the normally expressionless young boss quietly spied on her with binoculars.

When the girl protected her mother by taking action against a middle-aged man, Yu Minglang almost thought he saw it wrong. He left the scope and looked into the distance; although he couldn't see the face clearly, he could confirm that the Zhou Zhiruo-like girl had taken action!

"Boss, is there a situation?" Yu Minglang's secretary asked.

"Her eyes and brows hold elegance, yet her fists exhibit dominance, as graceful as a startled swan, as mighty as a dragon, good, very good." Yu Minglang muttered to himself.

"What?" Secretary couldn't comprehend. Sir, are you alright? The whole unit is waiting for your orders!

Despite the young boss usually being laconic, when he did speak a sentence or two, most people couldn't understand him. No wonder he's the highest-educated among the heirs!

Yu Minglang saw Qian washing her hands, observed her lip movements through the scope. A top student himself, Yu Minglang had also learned lip-reading, so he saw every word of Qian's self-talk, which she thought no one had heard, thanks to her lips.
