"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, Chong Ming. I accept your proposal."
Chong Ming was momentarily stunned, and in his excitement, he inadvertently gripped her hand tightly, "What did you say?"
Xu Anran took a deep breath and nodded solemnly, "Yes, I accept your proposal."
Chong Ming released her hand and said, "Wait here for me."
After saying that, he ran out.
Xu Anran didn't know what he was doing, but it wasn't long before he came back, panting, with a velvet box.
Chong Ming tidied his clothes, then, disregarding the stares of others, knelt on one knee, opened the box, and asked full of affection, "Anran, will you marry me?"
Xu Anran was a bit surprised and a bit dazed, then all her reactions turned into a smile. Finally, she extended her hand, allowing him to slip the ring onto her middle finger.
"Get up, so many people are watching."
