Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Annihilation and Humiliation

Chapter 11: Annihilation and HumiliationFanfic by: Geraint124x(Nero's POV)

In the middle of the S-Class promotion test outside Magnolia Town, Lolibaba telepathically reminded me she had joined the test—against me.

Sigh.

I sighed deeply."Assuming you guys already know most of my weaknesses, I'll stop playing around."

PoofPoofPoofPoof

Four of my copies disappeared in an instant.

"What?!" Mirajane's eyes widened, shocked to see the Asura Path vanish before her.

"Nero, why'd you make them disappear?" Natsu asked, confused.

"I don't need them. I am enough," I said confidently.

Having the Deva Path gave me the Rinnegan automatically, meaning I could access the other Paths too. I thought I was lucky, but using the other paths drained chakra like crazy. The Goddess who granted me this power probably nerfed them to discourage overuse. I just need to expand my chakra capacity before I can truly use them all.

"Now then… let's continue!" I charged, gripping a stick branch.

"Everyone, don't use ranged magic on him! He'll just return it with double power!" Uncle Makarov warned.

"But how can we beat him if he dominates close combat?" Gray asked anxiously.

Natsu charged, firing up."Nero! Show me what you got!"

I planted myself, ready to take his blow.

His fist flew toward my face—just before contact,

Peeeeeeewww!

A repulsive force pushed his punch back.

"I'm not done yet!"

Using the momentum, Natsu blasted a stream of fire from his elbow, pushing himself forward against my repulsion.

Surprised. This guy is full of surprises.

When the repulsive force faded, Natsu's fist hit my left cheek—barely a graze.

"Huh?!" He was stunned.

I swung my left fist at his solar plexus.

Thud!

He grunted, spitting out saliva, stunned.

I grabbed his head and slammed it into my rising knee.

Thud!

Blood trickled from his nose as he nearly collapsed.

"So… still got the will to stand?"

I pointed my palm at his chest.

"Natsu!"

"Respect, Natsu. That was a good attack," I grinned.

"I… can still fight…" He struggled to stand.

I'm not one to let an opponent recover.

"Sorry, Natsu. Time to sleep."

Peeeeeeewww!

"Shinra Tensei!"

Crassssshhhhh!

A crushing repulsive force threw Natsu into boulders. He fainted, buried in rubble.

"Natsu!" Everyone shouted.

While they were distracted, Mirajane charged.

"Nero!" she yelled, slashing with her demonic claw.

I leapt back just in time.

"Ice-Make: Floor!" Gray froze the ground beneath me, making it slippery.

I infused chakra into my feet to grip.

"Huh?!"

Suddenly, Uncle Makarov leapt forward with an enlarged fist, Laxus crackling lightning, Mirajane diving in, and Elfman charging with his beastly stone arm.

Okay, five seconds now.

I raised my arms sideways, pointing palms opposite directions.

Peeeeeeewww!

A repulsive force burst outward, knocking all attackers back.

"Shinra Tensei!"

Crassssshhhhh!

They crashed hard into the earth.

After the cooldown, I clapped my hands, forming a black sphere between them, then hurled it into the sky.

"I'll end this now! Shin… Chibaku Tensei!"

[Play: Girei - Pain's theme]

"What's that?!" Gray pointed at the black sphere ascending.

The ground trembled as huge boulders floated upward, circling the sphere, pulling everything nearby into it.

Uncle Makarov ordered,"All of you! Use your strongest attacks to destroy that sphere!"

"Hahaha! Too late, Uncle," I laughed, pointing at the sphere and them.

"Ha!"

Suddenly, Mirajane and Laxus were shackled by earth pulling them tight.

"Laxus!" Makarov yelled.

"Nee-san!" Elfman rushed to Mirajane's side.

"Laxus! Mirajane!" Gray shouted, powerless.

I raised my left hand, yanking them toward the orbiting satellite, crushing them beneath rubble.

"For the finisher! Take this! Shattered Heaven!" I swung my arms downward.

The satellite hurtled down like a meteorite.

Their faces twisted in despair.

"What is this? Is he trying to end the world?" Gray muttered.

Everyone stood frozen.

I smirked. "Now what are you gonna do?"

Makarov, serious, raised his hand."We give up. It's your win, Nero. You passed. Now release your comrades and deal with that thing."

"Say that earlier!" I snapped.

Pointing both hands at the falling satellite, I shouted,"Banshō Ten'in!"

Mirajane and Laxus were yanked out, Mirajane back to human form, both battered.

Gray and Elfman caught them as they crashed down.

With my right hand still raised, I released the satellite's hold, returning the earth to the ground.

I sensed someone would be very angry at me.

While they focused on the rubble returning to earth, I turned and stuck a black mustache on my face.

"Ugh!"

Laxus regained consciousness, growling, "Where's that Nero bastard? How dare he humiliate me and vanish like that!"

He scanned the area, eyes landing on me."Hey! You! Mustache guy!"

"Yes, just a guy with a mustache," I replied coolly.

"Have you seen a blue-haired guy named Nero?" he asked.

"No idea," I said, shrugging.

"That guy… I'm gonna make him pay!"

Everyone stared, confused.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? This area's off-limits," Makarov said, baffled.

"Just curious. Saw something, then going home," I said, turning away.

"Erza, that mustache guy looks familiar but I can't place him," Gray murmured.

"I've never seen him, but whenever Nero disappears, that guy shows up. Still can't recognize him," Erza replied, rubbing her head.

Back in my room, I got my sweet revenge—tickling Lolibaba's feet with a feather until she passed out.

With my black mustache hiding my face, I blended in around the guild, chilling undetected.
