A man in his mid-fifties, his thinning hair combed forward to reach the middle of his forehead, approached Mel step by step with a crooked smile on his face.

"Second Elder!"
"Second Elder!"
The three division heads spoke the title in unison, keeping their eyes fixed on the dirt as they bowed their heads.
"I expected you to be in the Reception Hall by now, but I see you are at each other's throats. Under normal conditions, you would have angered me, assuming I had not seen the green energy wrapping this boy."
The Second Elder of the Green Shadow Academy stepped closer to Mel, flanked by his two guards. After studying him for a brief moment, he turned to the three division heads.
"I understand that all of you want him for your own division. But if you ask me, shouldn't the boy make the final choice?"
Sweeping his green robes back, the middle-aged man looked at Mel again; his dark eyes, a sharp contrast to his pale skin, gleamed brightly.
