Leaning his back against the tree, Edgan pointed the radiant full moon out to Mel. The robust youth was standing beside his friend, his shadow stretching past the garden wall and reaching all the way outside.
"Magnificent, isn't it?"
Edgan's charismatic facial features looked striking under the moonlight. It was as if the moon had risen tonight solely to cast its light upon him.
"Yes, it is in its most beautiful state!"
Mel agreed with his friend; he too was captivated by the magic of the silver disk in the sky.
"If no one can stop a sliver of a crescent from turning into a full moon, then no one will be able to stop me from becoming the number one martial artist in this world!"
After delivering words overflowing with absolute confidence, Edgan fell silent. Mel didn't know why his friend had said those things, and he didn't look like he was going to ask. They spent a little more time in the garden in silence before heading inside to the martial arts training room to sleep.
