Even though hours had passed since the departure of the unexpected guest, the lights inside the pavilion situated dead center of the eight pavilions were still on. The daylight falling across the polished surface of the wooden furniture signaled that the Green Shadow Academy had begun a new day.
"Mel, he is obviously lying! Why is your mind so conflicted?"
The young boy, who hadn't left the window as if trying to catch the rising sun filtering through the Botanical Gardens, turned around when his lover decided to speak.
"My one and only, the time has come for me to tell you the truth!"
After rubbing his bloodshot eyes, Mel sat down beside his lover's knees; he was about to spill the thoughts occupying his mind.
"Do you remember what I told you about my past?"
The young girl nodded her head, but she couldn't tear her curious eyes away from Mel's lips.
"Some of what you remember was true, but some of it was just my fabrication; now you will learn the absolute truth!"
