When Baybars came to haul him out, unlike the inaugural battle, he found him waiting right at the threshold. The second he swung the door open, he felt as though he were staring down the edge of a blade drawn from its scabbard. The war had already commenced for him; perhaps he had spent the entire night waging war as the Earth Dragon and coveted to sustain the aftertaste lingering on his palate with his own claws.
"Am I alright? I haven't felt this alive in a long time!"
Shoving Baybars aside with a heavy shoulder check, Mel cleared the absolute entirety of the stairs in a single bound and veered straight toward the dilapidated gate where the skirmish would be waged, bypassing the assembly point of the Eleventh Ward students entirely. Baybars possessed enough wits to decipher what was transpiring; channeling the might of the Wind Element, he sprinted and reached the flanks of the other students within seconds.
"Move, now! Mel is launching the battle!"
