But here, everything became tolerant.
Aside from all that, what Lynch found to be the biggest change on this visit was that there were more people in military uniforms on the streets.
These people weren't actually soldiers on duty; they were just actors.
As war films grew popular, the major studios all rolled out a bunch of war movie projects, and sometimes these extras didn't even need to change clothes.
