Mrs. Jing sipped her water with an air of elegance, too lazy to bother with him. She purposely avoided looking at him to keep her peace of mind and instead, smiled warmly as she turned her gaze to the serious little artist, Mianmian, her eyes full of affection.
Mr. Jing initially thought that Mianmian would take a while longer to finish her painting, but to his surprise, in just a few minutes, Mianmian announced, "I'm done with my painting, Great Grandpa!"
"Look, take a look quickly, this is my great-granddaughter, not only is she good at painting, she paints fast, not dragging things out one bit!" Mr. Jing boasted happily to Mr. Li.
Mr. Li had just walked over to Mianmian's side to catch her, afraid she might fall, and was preparing to lift her off the chair. As he inadvertently glanced at the young artist's masterpiece and heard Mr. Jing's words, he almost couldn't keep a straight face.
