"Xiaoxiao, I'll take you to the hospital."
Luo Haofeng briefly told Mother Bai he would first take Bai Xiaoxiao to the hospital and hung up the phone.
He placed Bai Xiaoxiao's phone into his pocket, bent down, and put an arm around her neck, intending to lift her.
"I can walk by myself."
Bai Xiaoxiao gritted her teeth, though the pain was unbearable, she reached out to hold Luo Haofeng's other big hand, shaking her head to refuse being carried.
Luo Haofeng's eyes flashed with a hint of heartache as he flipped over and held her hand in his palm, helping her up from the ground, "Xiaoxiao, bear it a bit, it will be better once we get to the car."
Bai Xiaoxiao nodded, indicating she would endure.
Luo Haofeng supported her as they walked toward his car, softly asking to distract her from the pain, "Why did you come out here on your own?"
"I just came for a walk."
After a wave of pain passed, Bai Xiaoxiao felt somewhat better and spoke without the discomfort from before.
