Just when Bertha Swift was worried, Adam Piers pushed the door open carrying two dinners.
Hearing the noise, Bertha Swift turned around abruptly, and saw the man smiling broadly. She was briefly stunned, then flashed a brilliant smile, "Why didn't you answer your phone?"
Adam Piers raised the items in his hand towards Bertha Swift, "Hungry? Let's eat."
Bertha Swift stepped forward, observing Adam Piers nonchalantly putting down the things. Unable to help herself, she glanced over his face, not finding anything unusual, and couldn't help but feel puzzled, "Are you okay?"
"What could possibly be wrong with me?" Adam Piers asked as he opened the food.
Bertha Swift thought to herself, could Mary's information be incorrect?
Seeing that Bertha Swift didn't move for a long time, Adam Piers looked up to see the woman full of confusion in her eyes, and couldn't help but raise his eyebrows, "What did you hear?"
Not hiding anything, Bertha Swift told Adam Piers what she had just heard.
