April could feel it even back inside the Forsaken Tower.

She could feel that Rex wasn't completely open to her—there are some parts of him that he held back, reluctant to show them to her openly. In the years they stayed inside the tower, there were times when he was frustrated with his training.

Oftentimes, his body would be shaking uncontrollably.

Clearly, he was holding back the wrath inside of him, knowing that she was with him in there.

His aura also changed.

It weighed on the chamber like a heavy blanket.

During those times, April's body didn't dare to approach him.

Her instincts told her that it was dangerous to approach her, and now, she saw a glimpse of it.

'I initially thought there was something wrong with him. Madness. Being frustrated at his growth when he was growing faster than anyone I ever knew is sheer madness.' April's eyes flickered as she watched Rex slaughter the voidal monsters with glee. 'But now I realized, he wasn't frustrated because of that.'
