"Yes, Wanyu, let Changhai and Mianmian accompany us. You should prioritize your work," advised Aunt Su.
Seeing everyone say so, Su Wanyu stopped insisting. She had indeed taken quite a few days off, and there was much work to catch up on.
"Alright, Uncle, Aunt, I'll not take any more leave then. Let Brother Hai and Mianmian accompany you," Su Wanyu readily agreed.
The Su family hadn't visited in over a year. Although they kept in touch over the phone, chatting in person felt much more intimate. They spent the evening in the living room, watching TV and catching up, and before they knew it, it was past nine o'clock.
Concerned that they were exhausted from several days of train travel, Su Wanyu reminded them, "Uncle, Aunt, big sister, it's getting late. You should freshen up and rest early."
Big Uncle Su couldn't suppress a yawn, "Yes, let's all rest early, I'm feeling sleepy too."
Both families washed up and went to their rooms to sleep.
