Chapter 13: A Shocking Truth II

Blake walked away from her conversation with Sala and Rhubar still in shock. Their voices still played in her head.
"Please Blake, keep this a secret from them for a while longer. If others found out that two of their teachers are the parents of a couple students here, there'd be panic.," Rhubar's voice echoed in her head.
The cat faunus walked a little further as Sala's voice also echoed in her head .
"We're not going to take your brothers away from you. They genuinely think of you as their real sister, we would like for it to stay that way.," Sala voice said in her head.
"You don't have to accept us as their parents now.. Take your time with it. We'd like to think you would also come to accept us one day. We think of you as though you were our own daughter. It would make us very happy if you also think of us as your family as well.," Sala said in her mind.
Blake continued walk as her thoughts pounded around in her mind. She still wasn't sure how she should feel about Rhubar and Sala being her adopted brothers real parents. It confused her, even though they said they didn't want to ruin the relationship she had with her brothers.
She did agree with her on one thing though. If anyone other than those she felt like she could trust heard about this, there would be panic. People would start treating Novaand Turuk differently too, that was something she couldn't afford to let happen. Blake would stay quiet about this for now, but she knew she would have to tell her brothers eventually.
As much as it confused her, Blake knew this was something her brothers should know. Just... not yet. She would enjoy her relationship with them for a little while longer, then she'd reveal their real parents to them.

Ruby sat at a table looking glumly out into space, alone with her thoughts. She rested her head on her hands as she did this. That is until she's startled by two palms landing on the table she was sitting at in their dorm room, distracting her from her thoughts.
Weiss is seen smiling at Ruby as she slides two squares over to Ruby, both seeming to be similar shades of white.
" I need you to pick a tablecloth.," Weiss said.
Ruby is confused as she raised an eyebrow upon seeing the pair of cloth squares.
"Um... Aren't they both the same?," Ruby asked confused.
Weiss sighs in frustration at this.
"🤦♂️ I don't even know why I asked!," Weiss said frustrated.
Weiss walks out of the scene as Yang comes in carrying a massive sound speaker on her shoulder, which bounces her sister and the table she's moping on again to jump in the air when she drops it on the ground. She brushes her hands off as she approaches Ruby.
"So, have you picked out a dress yet?," Yang asked.
She just had to ask that question. First of all, Ruby really was not looking forward to this. And secondly, why even bother if Blake doesn't go to the dance?
"No, I haven't. I really don't have a reason to. And besides... What's the point? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going?," Ruby responded.
"Oh, don't worry; she's going.," Yang said.
She then looks over off-screen, exasperated at Weiss.
"Weiss! I thought we agreed: No doilies!," Yang said slightly angered.
Weiss walks up to Yang, pointing in her face accusingly.
"If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!," Weiss argued.
The girls are interrupted by the sound of doors opening.
"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?," The blue haired teen asked as he walked in with Sun.
Weiss then stepped up to him suddenly becoming sweet now.
"We were thinking about it...," She said sweetly.
" That's Pretty Cool.," Neptune said.
Daikon who also was there snorted at this.
"Warning you princess, this one's a real player. Wouldn't want you to get hurt. ," Daikon said snickering.
"💢 And who asked you, Daikon?," Weiss said suddenly angry again.
"😅 Do those two argue about everything?," Neptune inwardly thought.
Sun comes into the scene, while acting suave much to Weiss' growing annoyance.
"You ladies all excited for dress-up?," Sun asked trying to be as suave as possible.
Ruby almost snorted at this question, while waving it off.
"Pfft... Yeah, right!,",Ruby said laughing.
"Laugh all you want, I'll turning heads tomorrow night!," Yang said proudly.
Yang then smirks as she looks at Ruby.
"😏And besides.. you sure you don't want to look nice for someone Rubes?," Yang asked smirking.
Ruby is confused at this and raised a curious eyebrow.
"What do you mean by that?," Ruby asked confused.
Weiss spoke up at this point also voicing her opinion.
"Don't try and play dumb, Ruby. We all know who it is. Don't you want to at least look nice for Nova?," Weiss said.
Ruby then suddenly turned red in the face as she started stuttering upon hearing Nova's name mentioned.
"W-what? I-I'm p-pretty s-sure I have n-no idea what you're t-talking about!," Ruby replied with her face flushed deep crimson.
"😏 You sure about that, Rubes? You looked pretty excited when we mentioned your boyfriend.," Yang teased her.
Ruby became even more red in the face as she was both embarrassed and angry at her sister for mentioning the dark saiyan teen.
"I-i told you Yang! I-it's not like that between us!," Ruby said embarrassed.
She looked down.
"Besides... I don't even know if he feels that way about me...," Ruby said slightly dejected.
"😏 You're not serious are you, Rubes? Have you seen the way he looks at you. Besides.. I'm pretty sure- no, I'm certain that he really likes you. I bet he'd be pleasantly surprised to see you in a dress.," Yang said slyly smiling.
Ruby just blushed and offered a small smile in return. Weiss then spoke up to redirect the focus away from Ruby and her crush on Nova.
She turned to Sun and Neptune as she addressed them.
"What are you two wearing?," Weiss asked.
"Uuhhh... this?," Sun said as he gestures to his current shirtless outfit.
Neptune steps in foward, holding a hand on front of his friend's face.
"Ignore him, for he knows not what he says.," Neptune said.
Sun merely swats Neptune's hand away from his face as he speaks again.
"Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt-and-tie kind of place.," Sun said.
Yang just gives him a dry look as if she's been told something very obvious.
"😐 Yeah... we noticed.," She said dryly.
Sun then is seen rubbing the back of his head as he speaks again preparing to ask a question.
"Soooo... what does Blake think of all this? She still being all, y'know... Blake-y?," Sun asked.
"Have you met Blake? That's kind of her "thing".," Daikon said.
"Obviously.," Weiss said crossing her arms in disapproval.
Ruby had recovered from her interrogation via Yang and decided to add something to the conversation.
" I still can't think of a way to change her mind.," Ruby said sadly.
Yang spoke up, calming everyone down. Everyone looks at her as she starts to walk out of the room.
"Guys. Trust me; Blake will be at the dance tomorrow.," Yang said confidently.
Yang then walks out of the room, most likely to find their aforementioned team mate.
"I sure hope she's right...," Ruby said worriedly.
"Ruby, have a little faith in your sister. If anyone can make Blake come out of the shell she's put herself in, it's Yang.," Weiss said.
"Don't worry so much about it, Ruby. It's like the princess here said, just trust Yang. She'll get Blake to the dance tomorrow.," Daikon said reassuring her.
Ruby smiled at this. They were right. Yang could handle this.
Weiss then slyly smiled at Ruby as she spoke.
"So.. Ruby?,"Weiss began.
"Y-yeah?," Ruby asked getting a very nervous feeling her best friend was going to interrogate her about something now.
"Tell me.. have you thought about asking him yet?," Weiss asked.
Ruby's shoulders sank, she should've known this was coming.

The Faunus herself is sitting at one of the library tables with a holographic screen in front of her. She is obviously more sleep-deprived than ever, barely focusing on what she's seeing... until a small, bright red light appears on the screen. Moving up and down, Blake's eyes follow it down to her hand, then disappears entirely. She looks behind herself, obviously irritated, but no one walking among the tables is her culprit.
Turning back to the computer, she starts typing on the beeping keyboard before the laser dot appears on her hand briefly, prompting her to look around again and still find no one. The red point shows up on the screen, moving around in circles until Blake scowls and pounds her fists on the table. She stands up from her chair and finds the light on the floor, following it blindly through shelves of books until both the dot and its pursuer turn the corner, only for Blake to bump, shocked and shaken out of her more "animal" instincts, into...
Yang is seen waving with her left hand as her right holds the laser pointer, in a sing-song voice.
"He-lloooo!," Yang said in a cheery sing song voice.
"What are you...?," Blake started to ask before Yang suddenly grabs her arm.
"We need to talk.," Yang said.
And with that, amid Blake's single cry of surprise, Yang whisks her partner out of the scene.

Emerging from the steaming bathroom in nothing but a pink towel wrapped around his lower body, Ren sighs in content and starts walking away, only to be stopped by Jaune suddenly appearing in front of him.
"We need to talk!," Jaune said grabbing Ren's arm.
And with that, amid Ren's single cry of surprise, Jaune pulls his teammate away, leaving his bottle of "Samurai Shampoo" to spin in the air before dropping to the ground.

Jaune is seen sitting on his bed and talking to Ren offscreen in their dorm room.
"Ren... I'm just gonna say it. You are one of my best friends. These past few months, I feel like we've really bonded, even though you don't say much. I mean, you're really quiet. To be perfectly honest, I don't know that much about you, personally, but darnit, I consider you to be the brother I never had!," Jaune told him.
The camera pans out enough to see that he is still only wearing his towel and looking extremely uncomfortable, but he still nods and smiles to Jaune when he's done.
"And I you.," Ren said smiling.
He tries to be attentive from then on, but keeps glancing at his usual outfit hanging by the door.
Jaune continues as he speaks again.
"Which is why I wanted to get your advice on... girls.," Jaune said.
Ren raises a curious eyebrow at this. Why come to him with something like this?
"Girls?," Ren asked slightly surprised.
He sounds surprised, but starts reaching out for his clothes while Jaune is looking away.
Jaune is silent for a few moments, tryingbto find the right words to say.
"I just... don't know... how to... girls. Um, I-I guess what I'm asking is... Well, how did you and Nora... y'know...," Jaune said nervously.
Ren puts his hand down after almost touching the green robe, but looks even more awkward now.
"Uh... uh... uh...," the black haired teen said awkwardly.
Nora is then seen clearing her throat to get the boys' attention on her, wearing nothing but her emblazoned headphones, a "BOOP" T-shirt, and pink lightning bolt shorts as she reads a book resting on her knees, before she laughs nervously.
"We're actually not "together-together...",Nora said slightly fidgeting.
"NORA I SAID HEADPHONES ON!," Ren said quickly getting Nora's attention.
Nora does so quickly under her leader's command.
Ren then fully turns his focus towards his friend as he speaks again.
"Jaune, what is this all about?," Ren asked curious.
The blonde sighs deeply before speaking, obviously depressed by staring at the floor as he talks.
"It's Weiss. I'm completely head-over-heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented. I mean, have you heard her sing? I-I just wish she's take me seriously, y'know? I wish I could tell her how I feel without messing it all up.," Jaune said still staring at the floor.
Another voice is then heard. The voice is revealed to be Pyrrha.
"Then do it.," Pyrrha says.
Jaune is surprised to see Pyrrha there as evidenced by his response.
"Uh, wha? P-Pyrrha?," Jaune asked surprised.
Pyrrha just continued as she gave him the best advice that she could think of.
"Tell her exactly what you said. No ridiculous schemes, no pick-up lines. Just... be honest.," Pyrrha said walking into the room from the doorway.
"But what if I-," Jaune started but was again interrupted by Pyrrha.
"Jaune.You can't get it wrong if it's the truth.," Pyrrha said smiling at him.
The blonde smiles and looks up with a new confidence as he stands to his feet from his bed.
"You're right. Thanks Pyrrha!," Jaune said excited.
He then looks back towards his bed.
"Good talk, Ren!," Jaune said.
Ren smiles and waves his thanks while Jaune closes the door. Upon doing so, Pyrrha becomes noticeably less cheerful as she walks over to her desk, with a concerned Nora watching her with sad eyes.
Nora sighs as she speaks to Pyrrha who is looking rather down.
"Practice what you preach, Pyrrha.," Nora said.
Pyrrha just sighs in sadness as she sits down at her desk.

Blake and Yang were now sitting in an empty classroom, the faunus speaking first as she addressed the blonde brawler.
"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath.," Blake said.
Yang is seen sitting cross-legged on the central desk of the empty classroom they're in, the orange light of the setting sun shining across her calm features.
"I don't want you to stop; I want you to slow down.," Yang told her friend.
Blake is seen pacing across the floor with her arms crossed and still irritated.
" I don't have the luxury to slow down.,"Blake said still irritated.
"It's not a luxury; it's a necessity.," Yang said calmly.
"The "necessity" is stopping Torchwick.," Blake argued.
"And we're going to. But first you have to sit down and listen to what I have to say.," Yang said as she walks over and pats the part of the desk across from her.
Blake turns away for a moment before she relented draped her legs over the desk's edge.
"Ugh, fine.," Blake said reluctantly relenting.
Blake walked over and sat across from Yang, listening to her friend talk.
"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like... Super-Mom: Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then... one day she left for a mission and never came back.," Yang said as she looked down.
Blake looked at her and felt sorry for Yang before her friend continued her story.
"It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but... I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, y'know? And my dad just kind of... shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first... was my mom.," Yang said continuing.
Blake looks amazed at this information as Yang keeps talking, continuing with her story.
"He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow, and that she'd left me with him right after I was born. No one had seen her since.," Yang said.
"Why did she leave you?," Blake asked confused.
Yang sighs and then turns to the cahlkboard as she continues to talk.
"That question... Why?," She started before getting off the desk and walking to the chalkboard, picking up a piece of chalk.
"I didn't know an answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her.," Yang said continuing to reminisce about her story from childhood.
As the reminiscent blonde starts drawing on the board, the scene shifts to a flat-painted flashback of a young Yang, with orange bows holding her brunette pigtails, looking at the photo found in a smashed picture frame.
"Then, one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother.," Yang said off-screen.
A young Yang is seen walking down a long winding path through the towering trees shedding their leaves with a little creaking wagon pulled right behind her, a little sister in a crimson hood sleeping soundly inside.
"I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes...," Yang said trailing off before continuing.
In the shadows of the worn-down house the siblings had arrived at, beastly red shapes glow from the darkness.
The young Yang is shown to be looking petrified and frozen in fear for a moment.
"There we were: A toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. But, as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time.," Yang said.
As the Beowolves leap into the air to devour their young prey, the familiar sound of a gun-scythe follows the sight of them all being cut into pieces by a caped warrior. His bird-haired silhouette fades away to present day, where Yang has just finished drawing a clockwork eye.
"My stubbornness and utter stupidity should have gotten both myself and Ruby killed that night... yet, here we are.," Yang said finishing her story.
"Yang... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers! I can't just-," Blake said before being interrupted by Yang.
Her fists were clench and still facing the board as she spoke, interrupting Blake.
" I told you: I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't! To this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?," Yang said.
"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!," Blake argued still being stubborn.
"No, you don't understand!," Yang said turning around sharply to reveal red eyes with the sound of flames behind her.
" If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?," Yang asked.
"I'd fight him!," Blake stubbornly argued.
"Yeah, and you'd lose!," Yang said as she pushes Blake away.
Blake is angry now as she speaks again.
"I can stop him!," she said angered and tiredly tries to do the same to Yang only failing when the blonde doesn't budge.
"You can't even stop me!," Yang said.
She pushes Blake again, knocking her to land on the desk. Yang, still angry-eyed, walks toward Blake as she gets up, but then does the unexpected and embraces her in a hug, her eyes going back to their normal lilac color.
"I'm not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest.," Yang said pausing before she pulls back to look at her partner.
"Not just for you, but for the people you care about.," Yang said stepping away before walking past a startled Blake.
She pauses again and then speaks over her shoulder.
"And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I'll save you a dance.," Yang said.
She then noticed that Blake looked like she wanted to say something else. Something else was bothering her.
"There's... something else bothering you, isn't there Blake?," Yang asked concerned.
Blake sighed as she then spoke again.
"Yeah... you could... say that.," Blake said looking at the floor.
Yang then turned walked up to Blake with a worried look on her face.
"What's wrong Blake?," Yang asked.
Blake took a deep breath and then spoke again.
"It's... about my brothers, Nova and Turuk.," Blake began.
"Okay, what about them?," Yang asked confused.
"Well... my family and I figured this day would come but... I never thought it'd come so soon.," Blake said.
Yang was still confused, this allowed Blake to continue and explain what she meant.
"Nova and Turuk, well... they aren't who I thought they were...," Blake said sadly.
"They aren't who you thought they were?," Yang asked.
"It doesn't matter Blake. They're still your brothers, your family, whether they're related to you by blood or not.," Yang said smiling.
"Yang. I met their real parents.," She said suddenly serious.
This stopped Yang in her tracks. She was honestly surprised.. and curious about this as well.
"That's surprising.. what were they like?," Yang asked.
"Very understanding, first off. But you'll be surprised when I tell you who their parents are. But promise me, you won't tell the others. Cuz if too many people find out who their birth parents are, there's going to be panic.," Blake said.
Yang nodded as Blake then began to tell her who her brothers real parents were.

The white rose in Jaune's hand bounces up and down as its smiling owner walks through Beacon Academy until he stops at the entrance of a hallway with the sound of a certain voice, causing him to duck behind the columns outside.
"Neptune!," Weiss says excitedly.
She walks past Jaune as he peeks around the corner and goes up to Neptune.
"Oh, uh, hey, what's up?," Neptune says in greeting.
"I know this is a little unorthodox, but... I wanted to ask you something.," Weiss said as she puts her hands behind her back trying to look innocent as Jaune drops his smile and recoils at the oncoming words.
"Please.. don't say it...," Jaune thought, silently pleading for his crush not to say the words he was dreading.
"Would you... like to accompany me to the dance tomorrow?," Weiss asked with her hands behind her back and trying act innocent while doing so.
While Neptune rubs the back of his head and smiles with raised eyebrows, Jaune loses all of his confidence and drops the rose on the ground before walking back from where he came from.
His face lost all color and he hung his head while walking away from there, leaving the rose he had on the ground.

The sight of the lonely, abandoned rose turns into a large collection of the same flowers, one dropping outward, in a large vase behind Yang, now in a short white dress with black heels as she stands at a podium. The doors in front of her open and she flips out upon seeing who walks in.
Yang then cooed as she witnessed her sister walk into the ballroom.
"Ooohh, you look beautiful!," Yang said gushing over her sister who walked into the room.
Ruby groans as she looks distressed in her red dress with black lace, belt, and pumps.
"Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?," Ruby asked as tries to maintain her balance as she walks to the podium, much to her laughing sister's amusement.
As Ruby struggles to keep her balance, she slips but his caught by a pair of strong hands. These hands of course belonged to a certain dark skinned saiyan that Ruby found herself struggling not to stare at.
"You alright, Ruby?," Nova asked.
Ruby blushed upon seeing him. She had seen him before this, but still couldn't help but to stare at him.
The teen in question wore a dark blue blazer with a white shirt underneath, a red tie, matching dark blue pants with a hole for his tail to go through, a brown belt, and white and black dress shoes. His normally spiked hair was neatly combed back, and... was that cologne she smelled? Whatever type of cologne he used it certainly smelled nice.
"Y-Yeah, i-i'm f-fine! T-Thank you Nova..," Ruby said as her face flushed deep crimson.
"You're welcome, Ruby.," He said smiling.
As much as she tried to, Ruby just couldn't keep her eyes off of him. It got to the point where Nova noticed it.
"Um..😅 do I have something on my face, Ruby? Cause you keep staring at me.," Nova said sweatdropping.
Ruby blushed as she waved her hands in front of her face in embarrassment.
" No no no no no! Y-you just.. l-look r-really um... h-handsome N-Nova...," Ruby said blushing.
Nova looked at Ruby and smiled. She looked very beautiful in her dress and heels.
"Thanks, Ruby. Umm...,"Nova said pausing.
"Nova?," Ruby asked.
Nova rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment and blushed as well.
"I'm uhh... not really that great at putting this into words but.. You look... r-really cute in that d-dress R-Ruby.," Nova said embarrassed.
This caused Ruby to blush and offer a wide smile towards the dark teen. Somehow... hearing Nova say she looked cute in her dress made her really happy.
Yang offered a sly smile towards her sister as she spoke.
"😏 Planned that one, Rubes? Looks like you got a date with your boyfriend, eh?," Yang grinned slyly.
Nova came to the rescue and spoke so Ruby wouldn't have to embarrass herself any further.
"Well Ruby was the one girl kind enough to ask me to come tonight. If any other girl had asked me, I think I would have very politely turned them down.," Nova said.
This made Yang smile. She was glad for her sister. She then turned and walked past Nova and Ruby, but not before placing a hand on Nova's shoulder and whispering something over her shoulder to him.
"She's all yours, Nova. Take good care of my little sis tonight, okay?," Yang said smirking.
Nova smiled back.
"I intend to. So, you really don't need to worry. Besides, shouldn't you be worrying about your own date?," Nova said.
Yang smirked back. Just waving as she walked away.
Nova then offered a hand to Ruby as he bowed to her.
"Would you allow me the honor of dancing with you, Lady Ruby?," Nova asked in a gentleman's tone of voice.
Ruby blushed and offered a small smile as she took the offered hand.
"I would be glad to.. if you'll have me.," Ruby answered.
The two are then seen walking towards the dance floor with the other students.

Meanwhile outside, Sun is seen walking around and wearing a new black jacket (now closed up) with a white tie hung around his neck, which he proceeds to fight with before going inside.
"Stupid... dumb... neck trap!," Sun said struggling to get the tie on.
" I knew you'd look better in a tie.," Blake said off-screen.
Sun stops his struggling and stares at the dark purple dress worn by Blake, now looking like she traded her dark bags for violet eyeshadow, as she steps forward and takes him by the arm.
" Sooo, does this mean we're going... together?," He asked curious.
Blake offered him a small smile in return.
"Technically, though my first dance is spoken for.," Blake replied.

Inside the ballroom, streamers are hung through glass chandeliers, pink and blue balloons are everywhere, and students in dark suits and bright dresses are stepping with each other to the music between the white-clothed tables. Blake is spun around by Yang before they curtsey to one another, and Sun comes up and takes his date's hands as Yang gestures for him to do so. She goes to hang with Weiss (in a similar white dress as Yang's), Aiko, and Scarlett in the back of the room, watching Blake laugh and enjoy herself before smiling at her team.
Weiss was seen looking around for Ruby before spotting her with Nova ... on the dance floor? That was odd.. then again, those two did seem to get along oddly well. She also remembered that Nova was the boy whom her team leader (Ruby) had a growing crush on. She smiled at this. Ruby looked really happy with Nova.
"I told you she would come.," Yang said.
"Mission accomplished.," Weiss said.
"Umm... what do we do now?," Aiko asked.
" Just have fun!," Yang said as she walked away.
Weiss walks away as well, in the opposite direction. Aiko turns to her sister, but Scarlett is seen with Yatsuhashi as they are walking towards the dance floor. The semi shy wolf faunus was now all by her lonesome, unsure of what to do other than watch her teammates and friends.
"Not enjoying yourself?," Ozpin asked.
Aiko is surprised to see the headmaster step up by her side, but shakes her head and laughs nervously.
"N-no everything is fine I guess.. I'm just not sure what I should do now. Everyone else looks like they're having fun.," Aiko said.
Ozpin adopted a thoughtful position as he considered Aiko's dilemma.
"I see. So you are unsure that you fit in with your circle of friends, is that it?," ozpin asked.
Aiko nodded.
"It's not every day that friends are able to come together like this. Time has a way of testing our bonds, but it's nights like these that can help keep them stronger than ever. Nights like these are ones we'll never forget.," Ozpin said sagely.
Aiko smiled at this and nodded, ozpin was right. She walked over to Daikon who had just been staring at the dancing couples the entire time.
"D-Daikon?," Aiko asked.
The boy turned to her.
"Yes? What is it?," He asked looking annoyed.
"Something wrong?," Aiko asked.
"It's.. nothing. Bah! Fine! It's that fool Neptune! Seems the princess went and asked him to the dance.,"Daikon said.
"A-And that annoys you?,"She asked.
Instead of getting mad like she expected him to, he was honestly just surprised.
"Y-yeah. It's her decision I guess.," Daikon said.
Aiko was confused though, Weiss was sitting alone. She had no date for the dance.
"Um... I haven't seen Neptune all night. He wasn't anywhere near Weiss... She's been alone the entire time. I think s-she'd appreciate it if you went and talked to her. She can't be having a very pleasant evening.,"Aiko told him.
Daikon slapped his forehead. He was such an idiot. He went to walk away, but not before turning towards the wolf eared faunus girl.
"Thanks.. Aiko.,"He said before walking towards where Weiss sat alone.

Yang is seen walking towards the dance floor as she then sees the person whom she asked to the dance. The person was revealed to be Turuk, the brother of Nova. He wore a black blazer with a dark blue undershirt, a sky blue tie, black dress pants (with a hole for his tail), a brown belt, and brown shoes. Turuk's hair was also neatly combed back to the point that Yang almost didn't recognize him.
He smirked towards her as he extended his arm, which Yang gladly took.
"You wait long?," Turuk asked.
Yang smiled at him.
"Yes, but it's all worth it since you're here now, handsome stud~," Yang said.
Turuk smirked at her as he finished her thought.
"Cuz I still owe you that favor, right?,"Turuk asked.
Yang smiled before wrapping her own arm around Turuk's.
"Right. And I still owe you that reward for a few days ago. Allow me to give it to you tonight.," Yang said smirking.
"Sure. But first... would it be too much to ask if I can have this dance, Yang?," Turuk said offering a gentleman's bow.
"Of course. I was waiting for you to ask me, handsome~," Yang said taking the offered hand as the two made their way to the dance floor.

As Ruby and Nova finish their first dance, she smiles brightly at him.
"Thanks for the dance, Nova...," Ruby said smiling.
The Dark teen smiled back at her and nodded.
"You're welcome, Ruby. I was glad to dance with you. I'm also glad you invited me to the dance as well. To be honest.. I was thinking about not coming tonight.," He told her.
" Really? How come? I'm sure any number of girls would have been beside themselves to ask you. A taller girl maybe, not someone on the shorter side like me.," Ruby pointed out.
"You would be surprised, Ruby. I think most of the girls aside from the ones in your circle of friends, are afraid of me for some reason. Which I get. They probably think a faunus guy like me wouldn't be very fun to get to know.," Nova said chuckling.
Ruby's eyes softened as a look of concern came over her facial features.
"Nova... please don't say that. You're a wonderful person. You're kind, loyal, considerate, nice, funny at times, and very sweet towards those who matter to you.," Ruby said concerned.
Nova went to say something, but Ruby put her hand to his lips to silence him.
"Ruby, I-," He started before Ruby silenced him by putting a finger to his lips.
"I'm not done yet. Let me finish, Nova. If you ask me, those girls don't know what they're missing out on! Every day with you feels like a never ending adventure for me, and I couldn't be any happier to have gotten to know you.," Ruby said.
Nova just smiled at Ruby as he took her words to heart. He was grateful for what she said.
"Thank you, Ruby. I.. think I needed to hear that. You seem to know what to say whenever I'm feeling inadequate, unnoticed, or underappreciated by other people.," Nova said smiling.
Ruby offered a small smile as she felt her cheeks burn red. After the two had their little moment, she turned upon hearing the doors. The girl smiled upon seeing the new arrivals.
Yang, who was also nearby spoke up.
"You guys are just in time!," Yang said.
Mercury and Emerald step in with their ballroom best on before the screen goes black.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world.," Mercury said as the two new arrivals came into the ballroom.

Random students schmoozing at the dance. Bartholomew Oobleck is shown to be listening intently as Peter Port laughs over some unheard anecdote. Ozpin is standing off to the side with Glynda Goodwitch until General James Ironwood offers his hand for her to dance with him. Jaune Arc approaches Ruby Rose, who is standing pensively near the refreshments tables.
She is seen standing there, alongside Nova who sees the blonde.
" I see you're hiding at the punch bowl too.," Jaune said.
"Sorta. What about you?," Ruby asks.
Jaune sighs in frustration, he then smiles.
"Guess I kinda can't enjoy the party how I'd like to.," Jaune laughed awkwardly.
Ruby smiles and him along with Nova.
"You just have to find a way to enjoy it, that's all. Trust me, I'm typically no good at parties anyways.," Nova said.
"To the socially awkward I guess?," Jaune laughed.
The three of them clink glasses as they each have a glass of punch.
"Sorry things didn't work out with Weiss.," Ruby said.
"Meh, it's fine. Neptune's pretty "cool". I get why she went with him.," Jaune said as he shrugged indifferent.
Ruby and Nova shared a look before Ruby spoke up.
"What do you mean?," Ruby asked confused.
"Well, come on, not many people can pull off blue hair.," Jaune replied.
Jaune begins to drink his punch.
"Should you tell him or should i?," Ruby whispered to Nova.
"I think you should.," He whispered back.
Ruby nodded and then spoke up.
"About that Jaune... Weiss came to the dance alone.," Ruby told him.
Jaune chokes in surprise. He turns to Ruby as he is genuinely surprised at what she just said.
"Uh, what?," Jaune asked surprised.
"It's true, Jaune. I saw her sitting alone myself. But...," Nova said.
"But what?," Jaune asked.
"Oh, it's nothing really but I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can do what you like though.," Nova said.
Weiss Schnee is shown trying desperately to coax life out of a wilting white rose. When she fails, she looks visibly upset. This was only momentarily however, as Weiss heard footsteps approaching her soon after.
"Yeah, she said that she had too much to focus on to worry about boys.," Ruby said.
"Though if you want my personal opinion... I believe she was just pointing up a front to mask how upset she was.," Nova said.
Laughter draws Weiss' attention to Sun Wukong, Blake Belladonna, and Neptune Vasilias as the latter entertains the others with some impressions and other silly faces. Jaune, shown to be observing as well, becomes visibly perturbed.
Jaune balled his hand into a fist as he spoke in a low growl.
"Hold my Punch.," Jaune said as he stalked towards Neptune.
Nova and Ruby just looked at each other and shrugged.
"You think he'll be alright?," Ruby asked.
"Yeah. I'm sure he'll be fine.," Nova said.
Jaune hands Ruby his glass and no sooner than he vanishes from sight does she choose to drink from his cup. As Jaune makes his way across the room, shoving other students aside (some of which were not even in his path), he stops short and watches as Pyrrha Nikos passes by. He watches her walk glumly up the stairs and seems to have a change of heart.
Nova and Ruby see this as Nova comments.
"And it seems the heroine has arrived.," Nova said.
Ruby giggled at Nova's comment.
"Nova, you're such a dork.," Ruby giggled.
"I know.," He smirked as the two of them watched Jaune follow Pyrrha.

The scene shifts to Pyrrha on a balcony as Jaune approaches behind her.
"Hey, Pyrrha.," Jaune said stopping.
Pyrrha turns around to face him.
"You okay? I haven't seen you tonight.," Jaune asked approaching her.
Pyrrha then turns back towards the Balcony as she spoke.
"Arrived late, I'm afraid.," Pyrrha said.
A/N: For anyone who's wondering what Pyrrha looks like in her dress for the dance:
"Well, you look really nice.," Jaune said.
Pyrrha's eyes briefly widen as she raises her hand towards her mouth in surprise.
"Thank you.," She says forlornly as her hand falls away.
Jaune is nervously tipping on his toes as he speaks.
"Your, uh, date isn't going to beat me up for saying that, is he?," Jaune asked nervously.
" I think you're safe for tonight.," Pyrrha replied.
Jaune is seen rubbing his hands as he speaks again.
"So, where is the guy?," Jaune asked curiously.
Pyrrha's head then sinks as she has a melancholy look on her face. She turns back towards Jaune.
"There is no guy.,"she said.
Jaune chuffs nervously at this.
"What?," He asked surprised.
Pyrrha shakes her head glumly as she answers him.
"Nobody asked me.,' Pyrrha answered him.
"But that's... (gesturing toward her) You're Pyrrha Nikos! (shrugging, dumbfounded) H-How could nobody ask you?," Jaune asked still trying to process how Pyrrha could be at the dance alone.
"I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise, but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. (turning back to Jaune) Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people. That's what I like about you. When we met, you didn't even know my name. You treated me just like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with. Someone who just saw me for me.," Pyrrha said.
Pyrrha looks at Jaune and then walks away while Jaune simply stares in astonishment.
"W-Wai-!," Jaune tries calling out to her only to realize that she's gone.
He sighs in sadness, not knowing what to do. He was angry Weiss was here by herself, but at the same time, here was Pyrrha... this amazing person on his team, that by all rights should have had guys crawling over each other to ask her to the dance. And yet, she was here alone and without a dance partner.
Jaune watches as Pyrrha turns a corner. Neptune has appeared on the balcony, gesturing toward Jaune.
"Hey, uh, Jaune, right?," Neptune asked.
"Yeah.," Jaune said sighing.
"This party's pretty lame, huh? I mean, ballroom dancing. Pfft.," Neptune said.
"Yeah.," Jaune said still depressed.
"Cute girls, though, huh?," Neptune said gesturing to the dance below the balcony.
Jaune growls angrily as he turns back to Neptune.
"Is that all you think about?," Jaune asked angered.
"Huh?," Neptune replied raising his palms to waist level.
"Do you even care about the girls you're hitting on? How they feel about you?," Jaune asked him slightly angry.
Neptune then throws his palms up in defense.
"Whoa! Where's this coming from?," He asked in surprise.
"How could you just turn her down like that?," Jaune asked gesturing with wide open arms.
Neptune was confused.
"Wait, h-who?," Neptune asked confused and surprised.
"Weiss! That's who!," Jaune said.
Neptune rubbed the back of his head as he answered Jaune's inquiry.
"I, uh... it, uh... it just didn't work out, you know?," Neptune nervously answered.
"What? You think that you're too cool, too many other options? Weiss Schnee asked you to the dance. What in the world could possibly keep you from go-," Jaune said before Neptune quickly answered him.
"I can't dance!," Neptune said looking shamefully at the ground.
"I beg your pardon?," Jaune asked much calmer now.
" I can't dance man!,"Neptune answered.
Jaune couldn't believe his ears, Neptune couldn't dance?
"But... you're so cool!," Jaune said in disbelief.
"Thank you. I try really, really hard.," Neptune said.
"You would rather break a girl's heart and go to a dance alone than just admit to everyone that you can't move in rhythm to music?," Jaune asked.
"Yeah, that about sums it up man.," Neptune said.
Was this dude.. actually serious? Jaune couldn't believe what he just heard. He felt alot better about himself now.
"Well, I certainly feel a lot better about myself.," Jaune said turning back to the Balcony.
"Please don't tell anybody. Look, if you want Weiss, she's all yours. I don't wanna get in your way.,"Neptune said raising his palms.
Jaune turns back towards Neptune.
"Do you like her?," Jaune asked.
"Yeah, I mean I don't know her too well yet, but she seems pretty cool.," Neptune answered.
Jaune then smiles as he remembers something a certain teammate told him.
"Then just go talk to her. No pickup lines, no suave moves, just be yourself. I've heard that's the way to go.," Jaune said crossing his arms.
Neptune then started sweating as he considers his advice. He could try that, there was just one problem.
"I uh.. I would do that but it kinda looks like she's already found someone else.," Neptune said.
A/N: I'm deviating from what takes place here because of the saiyans in the story lol.
Jaune looks and sees that Daikon has made his way over to Weiss and was talking to her. Now he understood why Neptune was so hesitant to go over there. Daikon could be... pretty intense, if he wanted to. Scanning the area, he spotted Aiko who seemed to be alone at the moment. She could use some company.
"Well.. what about Aiko over there then?," Jaune asked.
"Hm... yeah, I guess I could go talk to her.," Neptune said.
"Hey! You don't have to look cool all the time. In all honesty, if you could be a little less cool, I'd really appreciate it.," Jaune said smiling.
Neptune considers Jaune's advice.
"Yeah, okay.," Neptune replied.
"Go talk to her. I guarantee it'll make her night.," Jaune said.
Neptune nodded.
"Thanks. You're a really cool guy, Jaune.," Neptune said.
Neptune approaches Jaune, holding his fist out for a bump.
"Alright, don't lie to my face.," Jaune said approaching Neptune.
The two of them bump fists and Neptune walks away.
Jaune sighs as now he knows he has to fulfill a promise he made.
"All right, only one thing left to do.," Jaune said.

As Weiss is sitting down with her flower, she hears footsteps. She then looks up and is surprised by who she sees. It was Daikon. He was decked out a black blazer with a white shirt, a red tie, black pants (with the hole for his tail), a brown belt, and matching black shoes with his neatly combed hair.
"I'm surprised to see you alone, princess.," Daikon said.
Weiss just rolls her eyes, thinking he's here to make fun of her. Surprisingly, he didn't.
"Yes, well I'm much to busy for boys.," Weiss said.
"You can't fool me Shcnee, that was a lie.," Daikon said.
Weiss sighed. He was right, she was just fooling herself. She really was looking forward to the dance, but she had no one to dance with.
"What do you want, Daikon?," she asked sighing.
Daikon cleared his throat and extended his hand towards her. Weiss' eyes widened at this, was he actually offering to dance with her?
"Since that fool Neptune isn't here... and.. you seem to really want to dance, I may as well help you out.," Daikon said.
"If you're doing this out of spite or just cuz you feel sorry for me, I'm not-," Weiss said before Daikon interrupted her.
"Look, I'm not very good with words. But I'm here because I felt like doing this... Don't get the wrong idea and doubt my sincerity. Besides...," He said.
Weiss was shocked and reached out hesitantly for his hand, her eyes wide as saucers.
"Daikon...," Weiss said trailing off.
"(Clearing his throat) Ahem. A Princess should never have to dance alone. Wouldn't you agree?," Daikon said.
Weiss sighed and for the first time that night, she smiled.
"That I would agree with, Daikon.," Weiss smiled.
Daikon slightly bowed as he offered his hand with his arm extended towards the heiress.
"May I have the honor of this dance then, princess?," Daikon asked.
"I suppose i can oblige. But, only if you're the one offering, Daikon.," Weiss smiled as she took his hand.
The two then walked towards the crowd of students as they began to dance shortly after.

The scene shifts to show all of Team Rwby with their dance partners: Ruby with Nova, Weiss dancing and laughing with Daikon, Blake and Sun slow dancing, and finally, Yang who was seen dancing with Turuk.
Yang called over to Ruby while the danced with their partners near each other.
"You know what Rubes?," Yang asked.
"What?," Ruby asked.
"I think we really needed this.," Yang said.
The camera then pans over to the rest of the circle of their friends. Ren and Nora were waltzing, and Penny was dancing alone while being guarded by two Atlas soldiers. Aiko was seen talking to Neptune who had sat down by her. Scarlett was seen dancing with Yatsuhashi, much to the surprise of some there.
Rhubar and Sala were seen looking from the second level as they smiled at the scene. It then shifts back to the sisters, who continue their conversation after they briefly stop dancing with their partners while looking on from their space on the second level.
"Yeah, and you did a great job planning it too!,"Ruby said.
Yang reaches over towards her sister.
"Aw, thanks!," Yang said crushing Ruby in a one-arm hug as she flails frantically.
The blonde spoke again as she continued.
"It wasn't all me, though. Weiss did a lot too.," Yang said smiling.
Ruby stops struggling and looks down at Weiss. Weiss is dancing with Daikon, that was unexpected. Seeing this, Ruby smiles as she's happy for Weiss.
"Tomorrow it's back to work.," Yang said as she chuffs.
"I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us.," She said before pausing due to the sudden fits of laughter and giggles that draw the teens attention to the floor.
"😅 Ex-cept for that.," Ruby said unsure of what to make of what she sees.
"😅 uh.. yeah, no kidding.," Nova said with the same reaction.
Turuk had to cover his mouth to try and hold in his laughter.

The camera pushes past some students to Pyrrha who turns around to see...
"Jaune?," Pyrrha asked surprised, but also trying not to laugh.
Jaune is shown to now be wearing a white dress with a blue ribbon.
"Eh, a promise is a promise you know. And an Arc never goes back on his word." Jaune said shrugging.
Pyrrha is seen to be smiling, then giggling, and laughing aloud as she responds to Jaune.
"Jaune! You didn't have to!," Pyrrha giggled.
"Hey, an Arc never goes back on his word. Now do you wanna stand there and laugh at me, or do you wanna dance?," Jaune asked extending his hand towards Pyrrha.
She is still giggling, but manages to compose herself and respond to the blonde.
"I would love to dance.," She said offering her own hand.
Jaune then pulls her towards him and sweeps her away, illiciting a cry of surprise from Pyrrha.
"Oh!," Pyrrha yelped in surprise at Jaune's aggressiveness.
Nora is then seen flailing excitedly.
"Ren. This... is... happening!," Nora said flailing her arms excited.
"Wait, what "is happening"?," Ren said looking out at the audience.
Nora grabs Ren and drags him out onto the dance floor with Pyrrha and Jaune. JNPR performs a short but elaborately choreographed dance, culminating in Jaune spinning Pyrrha.
"I had no idea you were a dancer.," Pyrrha said in slight surprise.
" Yeah, well these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters.," He replied.
Jaune dips Pyrrha and then spins her away.
Daikon and Weiss briefly slow their pace as they watch the other dancers.
"So.. what made you come over to me?," Weiss asked curious.
Daikon smiled before he answered the heiress.
"I just so happened to overhear Jaune's conversation with Ruby and Nova. When I saw you alone, I was able to put two and two together. Jaune may be a little bit of a fool... but, he's an honest fool. And.. one example I could learn from.," Daikon told her.
Weiss just stared at him for a full minute without saying anything, she was surprised to say the least. But, she was glad Daikon was the one dancing with her, despite her opinions of him.
Plus, she had to admit. Despite how much the two of them argued, she'd come to understand Daikon the more she got to know him.
"You have some good friends looking out for you, princess.,"Daikon said.
"(Sighs) 😌 You and that nickname you gave me again. But fine, as long as you're the only one calling me that... I-I guess I don't mind.," Weiss said with a slight tint of pink on her cheeks.
"Music to my ears, princess.," Daikon smirked.
"😌 what am I going to do with you?," Weiss said with an amused smirk.

Meanwhile with Scarlett and Yatsuhashi, the two were seen slowly dancing. Scarlett had just a simple violet dress on as her hair shined and matching violet purple heels.
"Thanks for accepting my invitation to this, Yatsu.," Scarlett said.
Yatsuhashi nodded and smiled in response. He wore what most of the guys had on. He had a black blazer, a white button up shirt underneath with the red tie around his neck, black pants, a brown belt, and matching shoes.
"I'm not sure I would have come of anyone else asked me.," Yatsuhashi said.
Scarlett raised a curious eyebrow in response.
"Really? I thought you would have found plenty if girls that would have accompanied you. You didn't have to settle for me.," Scarlett told him.
"I think because I didn't speak much, they were a little wary of me. Not you though, you came right at me. But.. you're sure you're not afraid of me?," Yatsuhashi replied.
"😌 Yatsu, I know someone who's probably just as big as you are. So no, I'm not afraid of you.That person just happens to be my team team leader. Plus, I wouldn't have asked anyone besides you anyways.," Scarlett told him chuckling lightly.
"I see.,"Yatsuhashi said.
"What will you do after Beacon?," Scarlett asked.
The teen had to think about that for a minute before answering. That was the thing, he wasn't sure.
"I guess I could see where my teammates end up going, but... I think I'd rather stick around with you.," He answered.
"Me?," Scarlett asked.
Yatsuhashi nodded.
"I seem to always be learning something new when you're around. I would also like to get to know you better, if that's okay I mean?," Yatsuhashi told her.
Scarlett smiled.
"Heh, sure. I'm glad you feel that way, Yatsu. It means alot to me hearing you say that.," She said.
The two of them continued to dance as they smiled at each other.

Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai are shown to be observing the students from the next tier.
"It appears all the dancers have partners.," Emerald said.
Both of them appear to have communication devices in their one of their ears as evidenced by the voice on the other end.
"How long do I have?," Cinder's voice asked from the earbud.
"You should probably be home by midnight, to be safe.," Mercury said tapping the earbud with a pair of fingers.
Cinder Fall is shown to be somewhere outside, holding her fingers to her ear.
Ruby, having made her way to the exit, walks out of the dance and into the night air. She watches a figure running along the rooftops and then moves to pursue. That was before she felt a hand on her shoulder. The hand belonged to Nova, Ruby's dance partner for the night. He looked at her worriedly.
"Ah! Oh, N-Nova! You scared me.," Ruby said.
Nova rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment as he apologized to Ruby for scaring her.
"Sorry about that, didn't mean to spook you.," He said.
"I-It's alright.," Ruby slight stammered.
"Anyways... is there something wrong, Ruby?," Nova asked concerned.
Ruby nodded as she spoke again.
"Yeah. I thought I saw someone sneaking towards Beacon's communications tower.," Ruby said.
"I see. Mind if I tag along with you to help?," Nova asked.
Ruby smiled at this, she appreciated Nova's willingness to help.
"Sure. I don't mind, Nova.," Ruby said.
The two of them then moved to pursue the person Ruby had seen earlier.

Outside the Cross Continental Transmit System Tower, Cinder (dressed as a cat burglar), stealthily approaches an armed guard. She flattens her hand and knife hands the back of the guard's head, knockingbhim unconscious. She drags him behind some bushes and enters the building.
Inside the building, Cinder approaches more guards.
"Excuse me, no one's allowed in this area. ," the first soldier said.
Cinder just kept approaching, despite the soldiers warning.
"Stop!," the soldier said.
The soldier opens fire when Cinder does not heed him. She charges in and manages to overpower him, punching the soldier then grabbing his arm. Cinder kicks another soldier and uses the first one's gun to take him out. She then kicks the soldier's knee and throws him against a handrail. Two more soldiers rush her wielding batons. Cinder flash-forges a pair of black blades from fire Dust and slashes at both of them. Batting the first aside, she advances on the second and strikes him before sweeping both legs out from underneath him. The first soldier recovers, but she blocks each swing with her blades. After blocking a kick she elbows, then shoves him to the floor. As he tries to get back up she flips over to kick him in the head, checking for more guards before moving on.
Two guards are shown to be on an elevator.
"Hey man, you know the Wi-Fi password?," Guard 1 asked.
"It's Beacon, but replace the E with a 3 and add a pound symbol to the end.," Guard 2 told him.
The elevator door opens to show Cinder waiting. One of the guards notices the fallen men outside. Both guards grow apprehensive as Cinder casually walks onto the elevator, the doors closing as she turns around. Thrashing sounds can be heard from outside the elevator.

Ruby and Nova approach the building from the outside, they both see the unconscious guards which causes Ruby to gasp. She pulls at her scroll and is about to dial the code for her locker with Crescent Rose in it. That is until, she pauses and looks towards Nova.
He smiles and nods, understanding what was going through her mind a the moment.
"This would be good training for you, Ruby. You can see how far you've come along since we started to train together. Relax, if things get dicey, call your locker so you have your dust weapon.," Nova said.
"Shouldn't I just do that now? I don't want to cause any damage to the building from my weapons locker.," Ruby said.
"🤔 That's... a good point. Ok. Go ahead summon your dust weapon, but don't use it unless things get dicey.," Nova replied.
Ruby nodded and entered the 6 digit code to call her locker. The locker came and opened, revealing Crescent Rose. Ruby went over and grabbed it, before collapsing it to fit behind her back.
"Good. Let's go then.," Nova said as the two then entered the building.

Inside the building, the elevator doors open to show Cinder examining a Scroll. The two guards are knocked out.
"Oh! That's handy.," Cinder said pocketing the scroll as she walks past the two unconscious Guards.
She walks towards the control consoles that were nearby.
Cinder then hears a voice via the earbud she was wearing.
"A party guest is leaving now.," Emerald said on the other end.
"Which one?," Cinder asked sighing.
Emerald is shown to be dancing with Mercury as she quietly answers Cinder's question.
"Ironwood.," She said.
Ironwood is shown to be walking out the door as Ozpin gives his send-off.
"I guess the General's had enough fun for one night.," Mercury said off-screen.
Random code appearing on a computer screen is shown to change into a Queen chess piece.
"Should we intervene at all?," Mercury asked on through the earbud.
The other monitors in the room light up.
"No... we're done here.," Cinder said smiling at her handiwork.
As she starts to walk away, she notices the elevator doors opening. Ruby steps out of the elevator, followed shortly after by Nova. Ruby had her arms up like a boxer with her hands balled into fists. Nova just walked alongside her, as calm as could be.
"Hello?," She said before stumbling due to her high heeled shoes.
Nova catches her so she doesn't hurt herself..
"Careful there, Ruby. Wouldn't want you o injure yourself.," Nova said.
Ruby briefly blushed at this but then laughed as she thanked Nova for catching her.
"Oh heh heh, yeah you're right Nova. T-thank you for catching me.," Ruby said with a small tinge of pink on her cheeks.
Nova just smiled as Ruby resumed her search.
"Hello? Anyone here?," She called.
Cinder smirks confidently then rises from her hiding place and steps out toward Ruby. She thought she could sneak up on the girl, but she didn't account for one thing.
Nova sensed movement behind Ruby and stopped before looking at Ruby.
"Ruby!," Nova said warning her.
Ruby ducked as Nova threw punch towards Cinder, who had to dodge out of the way at the last minute to avoid being hit. The shockwave from Nova's punch narrowly missed Cinder, who was inwardly breathing a sigh of relief that the blow missed.
"Alright, lady... I don't know who you think you are but you stay away from my friend!," Nova said.
Cinder then stood in front of the two teens as Ruby stood to her feet.
"Excuse me? You know, it's not a masquerade party, so why don't you take off that-!," Ruby started before suddenly being attacked.
Cinder produces a container of dust from her belt expelling a cloud that glows. Condensing into glass shards that go flying at Ruby. A battle ensues as she defends herself then opens fire. Nova sees this and grows in annoyance as he uses a kiai wave to blow back the glass. He then glances at Ruby, who nods.
"Okay.., Plan B, stop this lunatic!," Nova said igniting his Ki around him.
Ruby mirrors the action as both are seen rocketing towards Cinder. The dark teen launches a punch towards Cinder, but misses when his fist impacts the floor creating a dent in it.
Ruby then decides to use her ki and opened her palm as yellow light pools out from it. She launches numerous orbs of light towards the the masked woman, while Nova closes in from the other side.
Cinder blocks each shot with her hand as parts of the outfit glow. She once again summons a pair of blades, Ruby launches herself forward but Cinder dodges. Another barrage of orb shots come towards her, green in color this time. She dodges them, thinking they were nothing only to be blown back by the explosions.
Her eyes and outfit glowing again as she combines the blades into a bow and fires three arrows. Ruby stumbles back from the resulting explosion and they stare each other down. Nova then comes put of nowhere and shoulder bashes Cinder into a wall. Getting up Cinder prepares to fight back, but then hears the elevator door.
Nova goes over to check on Ruby and make sure she was okay. As the two turn around to fight Cinder again, they notice she was gone. While they were glad to see General Ironwood, they'd let the crook escape... again.
They both sighed, they really needed to fix this bad habit of letting the bad guys get away. Both of them were 0 for 3 in that category.
Ironwood approached the two of them as they would explain what happened here.

In a hallway, Cinder discards two bracelets and her mask to change from her stealth suit into a black dress and enters the dance. Two guards following her crush the bracelets underfoot and are visibly confused at the sight of the crowded dance hall. The screen pans over various people including Neptune dancing and having a good time as they walk back out.
Emerald and Mercury are still dancing together as Cinder taps Emerald's shoulder.
"Oh, may I cut in?," Cinder asked.
Emerald steps aside.
"Of course.," Emerald says.
Emerald leaves as Cinder begins to dance with Mercury.
"And how's your night been?," Mercury asked.
"Mmm... a little more exciting than expected.," Cinder replied.
Mercury raised a curious eyebrow at this.
"Should.. we be worried?," He asked.
"Hardly... They'll be scratching their heads long after we finished what we came here for.," Cinder said.
" So then what now?," Mercury asked.
"Enjoy the rest of the night. After all, it is a party.," Cinder said smiling.

Nova and Ruby bow to the guards with Ironwood as they walk back to the dance. The two of them begin to chat along the way, Ruby doing mist of the talking with Nova simply listening.
They arrive back at the dance a few minutes later, as they open the doors.
The dance is still in full swing as they look to each other before rejoining the crowd. Something was different though. As they rejoined the crowd, they noticed that everyone was staring at them like... they were the center of attention.
Nova just offered his hand towards Ruby and smiled.
"I realize alot has happened tonight, but... would you care for another dance Ruby?," Nova asked extending his hand towards her.
Ruby was shocked at first, but then smiled at him. This was just one of the reasons she had started to really like Nova.
"I'd love to, Nova. And um.. T-Thank you for this.," Ruby answered with a noticeable blush on her face.
Nova then pulled Ruby towards him as the two began to dance. The other teens who watched were now cooing over how cute the pair was, much to both teens embarrassment.
Yang smirked at this as she also had continued dancing with Turuk.
"So hot stuff, I was supposed to give you a reward for the other day right?," Yang asked.
"That's what you keep telling me anyway. Should I be concerned?," Turuk replied nervous.
"That depends on you. But you know something, Turuk?," Yang began.
"Yeah?," He asked.
"You're a pretty neat guy. And quite handsome. As thanks for the other day, I want to give ya something.," Yang said.
" okay? But you don't have to-," Turuk started before Yang interrupted him.
Instead of saying anything, Yang just closed her eyes and kissed him on the cheek. Turuk of course, didn't know how to respond to that and just stared at the blonde in disbelief.
"😳 uh... Yang?," He said shocked the blonde would even do what she did.
"😏 Consider that as a favor for the other day. And... just a tease if you want more~," Yang said winking.
"Uh.. um... I take it, this means you're serious about me then?," Turuk said still processing what happened.
"What are you talking about? I've always been serious about you, handsome~," Yang said winking again.
Yang left Turuk completely speechless for the rest of the night, something she found rather amusing to see.
The others are seen to be enjoying themselves at the party as it ranges from each pair to the next before returning to Ruby and Nova one last time.
The camera then pans away from them and out of a window as the moon above Beacon is seen. There is then one last image of a queen chess piece appearing on a computer screen before the scene fades to black.

Hey guys, hopefully you enjoyed this chapter! I sprinkled in some bonding moments with each pairing even though this chapter was heavily focused on Nova and Ruby there towards the end.
And no, Aiko won't end up with Neptune. That was just so she would have something to do as I hate it when characters have absolutely nothing to do. Plus, I feel as though Aiko would feel a little out of place while watching her friends all dancing by herself.
Turuk x Yang will have more development in an upcoming mission, same with Daikon x Weiss. We are getting closer to the end of volume 2 though, Nova and Ruby are gradually getting closer they just need one more nudge to become official. I'll leave a pairing poll below:
