Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Remove Su Xingqi

It's really not her fault to think so, Su Xingqi's current boyfriend is Qin Mu. With Mr. Qin's influence, handling a clothing brand shouldn't be difficult, right?

Unless he encountered a more tricky person.

There aren't many people who make Qin Mu feel tricky, but unfortunately, Lu Shifeng is one of them. Blade Group of the Lu Family crushes the Qin Family in every aspect. That's the difference between a top-tier family and an ordinary wealthy family.

But on second thought, Su Xingyu felt that she was being overly sentimental. Given Lu Shifeng's character, he might not necessarily help her vent her anger. He's not the type of guy who gets hot-headed to fight for his little girlfriend when she's bullied. Lu Shifeng is too calm, a calmness tinged with a hint of cruelty.

Su Xingyu shook her head, shaking off that sentimental thought.

She looked at the girl in front of her and greeted her with a smile: "Are you Miss Jiang? Hello, I'm Su Xingyu, Ling Weilong's assistant."

Jiang Zhenzhen reached out and shook her hand lightly, still looking very uneasy.

Over there, Ling Weilong had already organized the equipment and impatiently urged, "Jiang Zhenzhen, hurry up and change clothes, the progress is delayed, how long will it take if you keep dawdling?"

Jiang Zhenzhen hurriedly went away.

Su Xingyu looked at Ling Weilong, a bit unhappy: "Can't you be a bit more polite to girls?"

Ling Weilong snorted, glancing at her, "Why should I be polite to her? A little girl? You better take care of yourself first, you're not even past the probation period, little girl!"

He said, baring his teeth in a malicious smile.

Su Xingyu almost wanted to smash the camera lens in her hand onto his face. No wonder her colleagues in the editorial department said this man had driven away over ten assistants in just three months. His bad temper is unbearable for anyone. She seriously thought about whether she should, like all those previous assistants, just walk away when she heard Ling Weilong exaggeratedly praise, "Wow, not bad, this outfit really suits you, much better than Su Xingqi's yesterday. Come, come, stand under the soft light, let me see, relax, strike a few poses... very good."

Is it going to rain red?

He actually uttered the words "very good"!

Su Xingyu looked over, only to see Jiang Zhenzhen had already changed into the outfit Su Xingqi wore yesterday: a top with some lace trims paired with matching shorts, long socks, presenting a young girl's sweet and cute look for autumn and winter vividly. Su Xingyu secretly marveled, this girl Jiang Zhenzhen, who looks unremarkable off stage, but once in front of the camera, she completely transforms, interpreting the clothes to perfection.

The anxiety that had been lurking in her heart subsided. She was worried Jiang Zhenzhen might not perform well, but now it seemed her worries were unnecessary.

She cooperated with Ling Weilong, adjusting the angle of the lights, occasionally helping Jiang Zhenzhen smooth her long hair. Her movements were nimble, often understanding Ling Weilong's intent with just a glance and adjusting everything before he even voiced it. She was even more meticulous than him in some details, achieving the most perfect lighting and composition.

Under the cooperation of the three, the shoot was successfully completed.

After changing clothes and removing makeup, Jiang Zhenzhen reverted to a nervous state: "So, how did I do in the shoot?"

Ling Weilong was browsing through the freshly taken photos without looking up, "Just alright, barely usable."

Hearing this, Jiang Zhenzhen became uneasy: "Wasn't it good? If anything is wrong, please tell me, I can reshoot it..."

"Are you annoying?" Ling Weilong rolled his eyes dramatically, "If it's good enough, just leave. Do you think I don't know whether to reshoot or not?"

Does that mean... there's no need to reshoot?

Jiang Zhenzhen was unsure, seeking Su Xingyu's help with her gaze. Did this man mean there's no need to reshoot, or was she going to get replaced like Su Xingqi yesterday?

Su Xingyu thought Ling Weilong's bad temper couldn't be helped. Out of cooperation, she gently reassured Jiang Zhenzhen: "You did great, much better than Su Xingqi yesterday. This set of photos is quite nice, so don't worry. Ling Weilong just has a bad temper; he won't praise people."

Jiang Zhenzhen's somewhat pale face finally looked a bit better.

Next to them, Ling Weilong was not pleased. Looking up from the camera screen, he said to Su Xingyu, "Who are you calling bad-tempered?"

Su Xingyu couldn't be bothered to argue with him, continuing to soothe Jiang Zhenzhen as she escorted her out of the studio.

Turning around, she almost bumped into Ling Weilong, and she screamed in fright: "Ah! Why are you so close?!"

"Didn't expect it, did you? You're quite the hidden expert." Ling Weilong smirked without smiling, trapping her with one hand against the wall by the door, "Who taught you your photography skills? Can you handle a camera?" An expert knows if someone truly knows their stuff at a glance. Though they'd only worked this session together, her grasp of photography was simply astonishing.

Jiang Zhenzhen's shoot was indeed good, but what interested him more was Su Xingyu.

Leaning against the wall, unable to escape, Su Xingyu instead calmed down.

She pushed him away, angrily: "Get away first! I'm married! What are you doing so close!"

Ling Weilong hesitated slightly, then looked at her with a funny expression, interrogating, "Go on, if I am satisfied with your answer, I'll let you go."

Su Xingyu rolled her eyes, feeling like she's been having bad luck lately. Since Su Xingqi's coming-of-age ceremony, nothing's been going right. Has she only encountered weirdos?

With a bit of vengeful gusto, she replied to Ling Weilong, "This is the first time I've been in a studio, the first time I've lit something up myself, and I've learned photography by myself. What else do you want to know?" Trying to investigate her background? No way!

As expected, even an experienced person like Ling Weilong showed a surprised expression on his face.

She happily watched his reaction, ha, doesn't this man always think he's the best in the world? Now he'll understand there's always someone better out there!

Ling Weilong was doubtful, "You're kidding, right?"

"You're the one who asked me, and now you don't believe me when I tell you," she glared at him, "Move, I still have to clock out."

Ling Weilong indeed let go but didn't spare him with his words: "Is this how you treat your superior? Aren't you afraid I'll fire you?"

Su Xingyu pushed him aside, gathering her things to prepare to leave, mimicking his insincere smile, "Fire me? I'm in a technical position. If you fire me, can you find another one?" After these past two days, she'd seen right through Ling Weilong; he was just a sharp-tongued softie. As long as she did her job well, he wouldn't easily do anything to her.

She waved at him cheerfully and walked out, "Goodbye!"

"Yo, tch," Ling Weilong was at a loss for words, having always been the one to taunt others, never the one being taunted.

"Brat, when did assistants become a technical job?!" In the end, he could only shout at her back in resignation. After shouting, he shook his head with a smile. He originally thought being a photographer at "Illusion Dream" would be boring, but meeting such an interesting girl, it was worth it.
