The scent of roasted coffee and butter drifted from the dining hall. Loki stirred his cup lazily, watching the reflection of sunlight ripple over the surface. The hotel was awake now, and there were many students from different schools.
There were also some young martial artists from affluent families, and of course, there were those who came to the city simply to watch the tournament.
Loki sat at the table where his younger brother and the other representatives of the school were gathered.
"Good morning, bro. I hope your stomach problems are better now," Liam joked.
Loki looked up, his expression neutral but his tone gentle. "Thanks for the concern, I guess."
Liam grinned, leaning back in his chair. "You slept in longer than usual. I thought something might've happened."
Hearing what Liam said, Loki smiled as he patted his little brother's head. "No need to worry, I woke up early as usual. I just went out for a run."
