Mirage looked at Bella and could see how restless she were as she paced in the air around him.
He knew her very well and now that he saw her act this way, he immediately figured that it was serious and that he had to go back as soon as possible.
Thus, he didn't hesitate anymore and went to where he left Zephyr at.
Bella also took the lead without saying anything and it only took the group a few minutes to arrive at the said place.
What greeted Mirage was the sight of Zephyr lying on the ground, with its fur soaked with blood. It was as if it would stop breathing at any moment.
His heart tightened upon seeing its current situation and approached it with cautious, slow steps. Then, he sat and scooped Zephyr up into his arms and stroked its bloodied fur in a slow, gentle motion.
"Little Black? What happened to you? Can you hear me? It's me, Mirage. I'm here..." he whispered into its ear, his eyes examining its current condition.
