Back in Master Nem's office the boy's were free of their restraints. In the middle of the room, Sheeva had been on her knees crying while Isabella was comforting her.
Just before Sheeva and Isabella were about to fight she pulled out the same device that Samantha had revealed to her all those years back.
Oh? Do you really think that I care for them? Ha! They serve no purpose to me! The only reason why I told them what I told them is to gather their trust. Think about it, Hyptant wants to deceive them and with how lazy he is I wouldn't be surprised of his eventual downfall. But, my deceitfulness has always been a natural talent of mine if you recall. I have been telling my top two picks about our plans and how I will spare them at the end when the time comes. Heaven and Neveah are so gullible they'll also end up telling their trusted three as well.
When the time comes, I'll string them along for maybe a week or so. I'll also have to kill a few of our lesser people to make it more believable. The end results will all be the same for me though, I CAN EAT TILL MY HEART CONTENDS!
"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry." Sheeva went continuing to cry into Isabella's shoulder. "I don't understand though, why did you keep this from us for so long! For so many years!"
Isabella looked down at the floor not even wanting to answer but she knew that some explanation was deserved. "I wasn't even sure about this myself. I heard the voice, I knew it was Nem but part of me wanted to believe that she was just saying that to make herself look good in front of her superiors. I was just ignorant to the truth until one day my eyes were opened and that is when I knew something needed to be done."
A hand was placed on Isabella's shoulder causing her to look behind her. It was Dakota, a soft smile on his face. "At one point we were all ignorant to the truth Isabella."
"So, what do we do now?" Sheeva asked.
"Simple, we get the girls out of here and we destroy this wicked place." Isabella stated, "Yokozuna and Tobias are already in place. I know Nem won't be gone much longer so I'll provide a distraction for as long as I can... you just focus on this task."
"Right!"
At the clouded pathways, Isabella had made it to the entrance of it just as Master Nem and the twins were walking out.
Stopping in their tracks the twins were the first to respond to Isabella's reappearance rushing to give her a hug.
"Daughter! We were just talking about you! Tell me, was everything completed?"
"Of course! In fact, I had a run in with Sam and while that boy is rather crafty I beat in him in the end. I actually came to tell you that he has given me the whereabouts of Zach and Kirk."
Master Nem's eyes widened with excited, "Oh joy! Where did he say?!"
"Well, you just left from there."
"That lying bastard! Stay here you all! I plan to keep this between me and my brother. If Yokozuna and Tobias get involved there is no doubt in my mind they'll destroy that place. You all just go back and get ready I need to have a private conversation with my brother..."
Master Nem left as quickly as she arrived going straight toward the island once more. Isabella waited until she was a comfortable distance away. Focusing on the twins, Isabella had diverted her attention at specifically at Heaven. "Lola and Hyena Girl are back at the island as well, both are resting. Look, I know Nem said we should head back but I don't have a great feeling about this whole interaction. How about we tag along just to be safe?"
"I had a similar feeling as well. However, I much rather prefer one of us stay back and wait just in case those two decide to make a run for it." Heaven stated.
"I'll be the one to take care of that. You two go ahead." Isabella said.
"Didn't you hear what Master Nem said? We go over there it could catastrophic." Neveah rebutted.
"I would rather have Master Nem furious with us then to sit back knowing that she has the possibility of being attacked by not only her brother, but his underlings, along with Kirk and Zach. Come on, no more discussions."
Perfect
Isabella had thought to herself, allowing more time for everyone to leave the island. The twins would pursue after Nem as well getting smaller in the distance. Turning back she quickly ran back toward the original island.
Back in the lobby, Sheeva and the now released guys all stood with the entire island's population behind them. Isabella would appear not long after showing up ready to get the portal up and going.
"That wasn't long! Good job Sheeva!" Isabella said.
"Of course, but wouldn't Nem come after us after she gets wind of what happened?"
"No doubt. It's actually what we want to happen. We fight here she has the home field advantage. Plus If she feels overwhelmed, she can always call more of her kind to board the island. We'll be overran within moments. Master Nem doesn't like to lose nor does she want it to be known she lost two islands worth of humans that was meant for her people. She will be the one to chase us and when she does that is where we will make her bed."
Starting the portal, Isabella turned her back to the rest of the population. "Let's go... we have things to do."
Over at the third island borders, Master Nem and her brother were exchanging words that could potentially lead into a conflict. Over in the background the twins could overhear the current conversation.
As they watched, both of them had a sudden sense to turn around. When they did, they were met with Tobias and Yokozuna. The presence of these two made the entire atmosphere change. Heaven and Neveah both began to sweat slightly.
"Relax, we're not here for a fight." Tobias said. "We just want to have a chat with you."
In the distance, the two would begin to fight. Nem was now determined to get into the island and there was going to be no one that stopped her. "Don't even think about trying to interfere with. If you do, I believe you know what comes next."
"You can't stop us." Neveah said.
"Oh? If we can't then why are you still standing here?" He asked waiting for a response. "Cat got your tongue Neveah?" He chuckled.
"What do you want? Let me guess, want us to join you?" Heaven asked.
"Well, seeing as your here in person, sure. But I already know the answer and it'll be no like we anticipate. However, I have no interest in just asking you because seeing is believing yes? We or should I say I am here for entirely a different matter. Becareful how you answer this as well because if you dont... I'll kill you where you stand."
The twins shared a glance with one another before focusing back on Tobias. "Many years ago, you guys fought Valkyries. Anna Lee, Bertha, Sanda, Eleven Seven, and Samantha."
"Ah, this about that? Yeah, we executed them. All rightfully so."
Tobias chuckled once more, "So full of ignorance. I love to see it. Truth of the matter is, twins you killed a member of our team or family I should say. I want to know precisely why you did it and saying Master Nem told you isn't a valid answer. We have all day so please entertain me."
Getting the last bit of people who were stuck in the pocket dimension. Sam, Kirk, Isabella, and an unconscious Lola on the ground next to them. "That was the last group of people out of there. Open that portal and start getting them back to earth. Don't think Tobias can stall them much longer." Kirk said. "How's Hyena Girl doi-" Kirk had cut himself off looking toward the ground.
Lola had begun moving lifting herself off of the floor after shaking her head. "About time you woke up." Sam said, "Tough bitch..." he muttered.
Standing to her full height, she looked down upon the three standing before her. "So tell me, will you be willing to join us or do we have to go another round?" Kirk asked.
Shifting her gaze between all three of them Lola looked forward and began walking. Walking past all three of them she never uttered a word. "So yes?" Sam asked.
The three began to follow her never bothering to ask her where she had been going. After a short time, the four would reach Master Nem's office. Lola stepped into Master Nem's office, the space quiet but thick with memories. Her eyes scanned every corner—the desk, the empty chair, the cold stone walls that had once watched her suffer in silence. Each item was a reminder of her manipulation, her torment, her stolen agency.
Then something broke inside her.
With a strangled scream, Lola's fists clenched at her sides. She let out a guttural, primal cry as she launched her first punch into a nearby wall, shattering it into splinters. Her body trembled—not from fear, but from the years of confusion, rage, and grief erupting all at once.
She jumped into the air, punching straight through the desk, splitting it clean in half. Glass from the monitors and control panels exploded outward, sparks showering the ground. She grabbed one of the chairs, screaming again as she hurled it across the room like it weighed nothing, embedding it deep into the concrete wall.
Isabella, Sam, and Kirk didn't say a word. They didn't move. They simply watched.
Lola fell to her knees in the center of the room, her breath ragged, fists clenched so tightly her knuckles had turned white. Her scream pierced the air again—longer, louder, more broken. She slammed her fists into the stone floor, the impact echoing like thunder. The entire island seemed to quake in response. Cracks split outward from where she struck, webbing across the room, growing wider with every blow.
She kept going.
Punch after punch.
Screams turning into sobs.
Tears streamed down her face, but she didn't wipe them away. She didn't care who saw. Her pain was no longer hidden. A glimpse of Bertha had flashed through her mind as she looked forward.
With one final, earthshaking slam of her fist into the ground, a deep rumble surged through the foundation. Dust rained from the ceiling, and a shockwave rippled outward, knocking over what little remained intact. The office had been reduced to rubble—a graveyard of everything that once represented Nem's control.
Lola sat in the center of the destruction, her body heaving. But her face, though tears she had received something new.
Clarity.
A kind of peace born from finally letting go of everything she'd held in for so long. She didn't look up when Sam stepped forward. He crouched beside her silently. "You done?" he asked, his voice quietly. Not even in a mocking nor impatient tone.
Lola nodded slowly. Her voice cracked when she finally spoke.
"Let's finish this."
Kirk exchanged a glance with Isabella, then nodded. The storm inside Lola had passed, but the war was far from over.
They turned toward the portal.
There was no going back now.
