"Ahmmmm.....ahmmmmm ...…..AAAAAHHHMMMMMMMMM" Adam was startled and woke up by the sound of these words. When he opened his eyes Victoria was still on his chest (letsss go not a one night stand, maybe hehe) ignoring the voice and he he saw Anna standing in front of him looking at him. "Time to wake up or do you wanna die of hunger. "
"Im full my gratitude for your concern lady Anna." Victoria said showing no signs of moving.
"Ummm…. " looking at Victoria Adam also didn't wanna move "what's in the menuuu…?"Adam smiled as he said these words.
"Your ass!" Victoria waved her hand and a thin beam of rock emerged from the ground ,about 1 inch.
————— a few minutes later—————
Adam had a wooden plank in his one of his hand and the other was rubbing his ass.
"Not nice , not nice at all. " Adam was talking to himself. He was was wandering in the jungle looking for something to eat but naked well in his trusted old underwear.
Anna and Victoria both had decided to rob him of all his jewels and clothes cause of the special treatment received from Anna last night as payment. When he tried to say that he gave her his blood Anna had a look a shock on her face then it changed into one of mischief. She and Victoria both tricked him into going out looking for food and Adam tried his best to drag Anna along but all in vein when another rock beam of about 1.1 inches shot up.
"Well it's not that bad I can try the ability and perfect it." Adam tried being optimistic.
"Well first food then practice. " Adam put his objective first.
Anna had told him there was a river a kilometre away to the right of the cave so he planned to go there first. Adam traveled through the forest in which he saw many beautiful plants and flowers, new kind of insects and new kind of bird too. They were all beautiful. By the grace of god none of them were aggressive. Adam really started to like it.
When Adam reached the stream he first cleaned himself and caught a few fishes. He had grabbed a stick and made a useable spear that he used to catch them. Afterwards he waited in the bushes for a small animal to come and kill it.
But non came. When he was about to give up he saw two adult wolves with two cubs in their mouth coming along the river. These wolves were black as night. They had fangs and claws like steel. Their icy blue eyes had no mercy for their prey. Their cubs were cute and adorable one was black and one was white. Adam thought the mom must've had an affair and convinced the dad it was his but didn't wanna interfere in their private matters.
They sent chill up Adams spine when he looked at them at first. He wanted to test out his powers but he didn't know if they were magical beasts or normal cause nothing looked normal to him.
When they got closer he saw that he was wrong. One of the adults was black while the other was red but one could see that it was white. Adams eyes had gotten a lot better , inhumane one could say cause if Anna was here she couldn't see what Adam was seeing.
"So he wasn't cucked…. I like the loyalty." Adam was in a world of his own. He looked closer and both the adults had wounds on them. This gave Adam an idea. He started to follow them. Not long after both the wolves stopped to rest but Adam wouldn't let them he threw a rock in the river right beside them which startled them and they jumped up. This caused their wounds that had hardly closed to open up. The wolves were looking in the water and didn't know Adam was in the bushes behind them. For an hour or so Adam kept this up. When he was fed up and lost all his patience he gathered a lot of rocks and climbed a tree. This was his final stand. He aimed a rock at the black wolf that looked like the male and yeeted a rock at his face. The rock hit the wolf right in his eye which was a sheer coincidence and Adam was damn sure that he would miss.
The rock after rock after rock he kept throwing. The black wolf fell down and white one was too much wounded that all she could do was see and protect the cubs. Adam got down from the tree and was as cautious as he could be. The black wolf was not dead and he could see it breathing.
When Adam got closer and closer to it he made sure at every step that he was 100% safe. When Adam got next to it he didn't think of anything else just about tentacles coming out of his hand and consuming the wolf. But nothing happened.
" shit was it luck?" Adam thought.
He tried one more time but nothing happened. He took a gamble and jumped on the wolf punching it's face. Just as the second punch came he saw two tentacles from the left and two from the right entered then puncture through the other side then coiling around the wolf then squeezing it breaking all the bones in it the consuming. This whole thing happened in 2 seconds and Adam was sitting on the blood filled ground. The only proof of the wolfs existence was his lower jaw that broke when the wolf got squeezed and a hind leg. Adam was excited but it lasted a second when his body felt pain all over. He felt a wave of flesh or blood flowing under his sling like a wave from the centre of his body to every nook and cranny. Adam didn't know how long it took but when it finished Adam felt different as if his body had changed. He examined it but nothing had changed.
"It's just like the game. Just like it. " he was excited again he knew he was different than before but didn't know how. But he didn't have time to ponder over it. He ran to the other wolf with his spear and jumped it. Adam was faster than before. He crossed the distance in a second that took around 3. The other wolf was startled by this and had less time to react. It opens its mouth to bite Adam but he thrusted the plank into its mouth that got stuck between its throat and teeth the wolf.
The wolf started to choke but Adam wanted to finish it quickly so he thrusted the spear into its eyes but that was a foolish mistake. The wolf made its last attempt a went berserk. It's claws tore a huge amount of flesh from Adams thighs, chest and his right arm which he used to spear the the wolf was hanging by ligaments.
The wolf on his last breath nearly killed Adam.
Adam jumped back as fast as he could but the damage was done now. Seeing this that Adam was about to die too the wolf fell a died.
" damn u nearly got me boiiiii. Phew. Heal up body." Adam looked at his body how it was gonna heal but it was too slow. Adam was loosing a lot of blood.
"I'm not gonna make it like this!" Adam realised he need to consume something again. He looked at the wolf and was about to consume it but he realised he needed to take something back. Then his eyes fell on the cubs and the coldness of the wolves eyes emerged in his for a second.
———at the camp site———
"Hey I got meat". Adam came back and saw Anna and Victoria were busy while he was gone.
Anna was wearing the gown she stole from him. It covered from her up from her neck to her knees and was quiet loose for her too. It was a sore sight for Adam. Then he looked at Victoria who was wearing the trousers. She still had the rag o which was tucked in the trousers and had a piece of cloth wrapped around her like a shawl which was found in a bag that was loaded on the horse. She was far away from the entrance as possible as she could be. It was a sore sight for Adam too.
The girls were busy too while Adam was gone. They had cleaned up the place the wooden crates were used had to make a campfire place and they also placed three bundles of grass for beds. The horse was near the entrance eating grass living the best life for now. Adam really wanted to eat it instead of the wolf. He thought that he should've just killed it instead of the wolf and eaten it.
"Welcome back." Victoria said as she ran to hug him but stopped when she got close to the entrance.
"At least somebody waited for me." Adam said said as he made his way to Victoria. He was carrying a wolf on his shoulder and had a leg in his other while a white pup in the other. He had made a belt from vines from which fishes were hanging.
Adam came over and gave a hug to Victoria and noticed that she was looking at the pup in his hand.
"What's that?" She asked adoring the little things.
"This is for you guys." Adam said as he got near the campfire which Anna was completing. He gave it to her who was clearly also looking. Adam wasn't sure that she had a soft spot but now he knew that she was like any other girl that loved cute and adorable things.
Victoria was following Adam while looking at the pup.
"Here." Adam gently gave the pup to Anna who also received him lovingly as if it was a baby. Then both girl started to play with the pup and admiring it whilst forgetting every else. They completely ignored the wolf that Adam had killed and the leg but it was nice that they weren't asking him that cause of course he had to lie. He wasn't gonna share his secrets like that. More importantly Adam needed to figure out what had changed in his body.
He sat down on a crate near the fire place and thought it through.
His sense of smell had improved so did his speed but he should have more. Just like in the gave prototype when Alex kills a beast the first time he gets claws so he should too.
Adam looked at his nails that looked the same as always but then he thought of changing them into claws. Long claws just like in the game then suddenly something happened.
His had started to change.It felt like as if his skin was tearing off from his fingers and new one came the same instant, like a wave ( like in the game if you've played it you'll know what I'm saying). It started from his wrist and went to his finger tip but didn't stop there instead it extended a few inches. When the morphing process finished Adam hand was skinnier than before but he could feel it's toughness. It was tougher and faster than before and all 5 of his nails were about 4 inches extended. They had the shape just like that of the wolves. And some bone like structures poked out of his knuckles. In summary his had was a deadly weapon now.
The girls didn't see any of his cause Adams back was facing them. Adam quickly thought and his hand changed to its normal state. Adam thought of all the more powers or abilities he could have but he stoped it quickly. He wanted to take baby steps in this process to know the full potential of every power and not getting as many as he could.
After a while when the ladies finished playing around with the pup Anna lit the fire and use a sharp stone that she had made to cut the wolf up and they both ate.
Victoria was holding the wolf pup in her arms the whole time and didn't have any plans of letting him go. After the lunch Adam complained about being naked and the inequality he had to face. He kept bothering Anna who didn't say anything for an hour and then her reply was a 1.2 inch stone beam shooting upwards in a cave where the sun don't shine.
Later that day.
Adam went out side and scope the area he didn't find anything or saw anything interesting so when the sun was about to set he came back to base.
Victoria and Anna were talking about something. When Adam came they called him over and asked what was their plan for now.
"This will be our safe haven." He said.
"Safe haven?" They both didn't seem to understand what he was trying to say.
"Well let me explain...."
