Chapter 4 - Discovering.

*Knock! Knock! Knock!* Lars honey it's time to wake up!" Emma calls.

"I'm awake mom!" Lars grumbles and reluctantly opens his eyes. Surprisingly however he's not actually feeling tired, it's more annoyance because he was having an awesome dream.

He dreamt he was fighting and killing giants, the rush of power he felt when wielding the mighty Mjolnir was insane, he felt unstoppable, but his mom had to ruin his fun and wake him before he finished them all off.

Wait since when did I think killing others was... fun." Lars thinks to himself confused.

Lars was usually a pacifist, he preferred talking problems out instead of solving them with his fists. It must be puberty. Lars surmises shrugging off the change.

Lars leaves his room to take and takes a shower. Afterwards he throws on a plain white T-shirt, jeans and some black leather boots. Lars wasn't the best dresser because he preferred comfort over style.

After he was done getting ready he went downstairs to get breakfast.

"Good morning mom." Lars greets cheerfully.

Emma looks up from her cereal. "Hi honey." Emma returns his greeting just as cheerfully.

Lars takes a seat opposite his mother where she placed his cereal.

Lars digs in heartily to his cereal devoring it in a few seconds. "Can I have more?" Lars asks his mother who's currently looking at him in shock.

"Uhhhh...sure honey." Emma gets up and makes him more cereal.

Lars went through 3 more bowls of cereal before he was fully satisfied.

"I'll have to buy more cereal." Emma chuckles as she throws the empty cereal box in the trash.

Lars smiles sheepishly. "Sorry mom." He apologizes feeling a little guilty.

"It's fine honey." Emma waves off his apology. "Anyway, I'm off. Take it easy today honey, I don't want..." Emma's voice trails off, she can't even finish her sentence as tears threaten to fall from her eyes just thinking of her son falling into a coma again.

"Don't worry mom, I'll be fine. Have a good time at work." Lars hugs his mom trying to comfort her.

Emma feels her heart warm at her sons care for her. "Thanks honey." Emma says with sincerity. She's truly glad that Lars is her son.

After Emma left, Lars decided now was the time to test out his strength. The forrest was just behind his house, so it only took a quick walks to get there. Lars eventually finds a clearing surrounded by trees, he thought that this'll be a good place train, no one should be around here.

"Alright, I guess I should try uprooting a tree first." Lars says casually.

He walks over to one of the trees surrounding the clearing and wraps his arms around the tree. He starts trying to lift the tree using all his strength. *Hrmmmmmmmmm!!!!!* Lars grunts from his effort. At first Lars feels slight resistance most likely because of its roots.

After a few seconds the resistance dissapears and the tree is ripped from the ground, Lars effortlessly lifts the tree onto his shoulders. "Wow it's light." Lars can't help but remark. Lars might aswell be carrying a feather, that's how light it feels.

Lars feeling high off power, throws the tree across the clearing with all his strength. The tree flies through the air at harrowing speed crashing into another tree causing a thunderous boom and causing wood to go flying everywhere.

*Hahahahah!!!!!* Lars can't help but laugh as he feels a rush of adrenaline.

"This is amazing." Lars says awed by his strength.

For about an hour Lars tried many more things to test out his strength, including things like, running at full speed, lifting boulders and even destroying one with his bare hands. He even timed himself over a 100m distance and found that he was quite abit faster then Usain Bolt, the supposed fastest man alive. He ran the 100m in under 3 seconds, something that no one believes is possible. He had supernatural strength, speed and durability. His strength was definitely his greatest... strength, while being able to break a boulders with his hands means his body would be able to handle alot of punishment, which in this town is definitely a good thing.

He already knows alot of chaos will occur very soon, he just needs to find out where exactly he is within the timeline of his dream. Is he at the start before Scott becomes a werewolf, or somewhere else. He can tell by Melissa's reaction to him in the hospital, that she might already know about the supernatural. She picked up on his slip up when he knew her name without actually having met her. Lars decides to figure it out when he gets to school, there'll be plenty of clues to help him figure it out.

Lars decides to go home satisfied with the results of his tests.

A few days go by and Lars was finally cleared to go to school. He'd be attending Beacon Hills high with Lydia. Speaking of Lydia the two met a few times and had pleasant conversations, well it was mostly filled with teasing from both sides but Lars would call her a friend. Which is why he's currently sitting in her Yaris getting a lift to school.

"Thanks for the lift Lydia." Lars says with a pleasant smile on his face.

"Oh, it's not a problem we're going to the same place after all."

"Awesome."

A small comfortable silence occurs before Lydia speaks up. "Oh I'm having my birthday party next week and you're invited." Lydia says it as a demand rather then an invitation.

Lars hasn't been to a house party before, but he's kinda excited about it. "Sure sounds fun, I've never been to a party before."

Lydia looks at Lars skeptically. "You're joking right?"

Lars shakes his head. "Nope I'm not joking, I've never been to a party before unless you count comic con?"

Lydia looks like she's about to gag. "No comic con doesn't count, jeez you really were a big nerd." Lydia says unable to believe someone as handsome as Lars could be a nerd.

"What do you mean were, I still am." Lars corrects her proudly.

"Why do you sound so happy about that?" Lydia rolls her eyes.

"Because it's who I am, what's the point of being embarrassed about it." Lars shrugs his shoulders.

Lydia sighs while shaking her head. "I swear if you embarrass me, I'm going to pretend I don't know you." Lydia promises.

Lars shrugs. "I mean suit yourself." He isn't fussed about it, if she does that, he'll just do the same. Lars isn't going to force his friendship on anyone nor is he going to beg to be someone's friend, that's not the type of person he is.

"Don't you want to get laid?" Lydia asks with a raised eyebrow.

Lars looks at her confused. "Laid?" He asks unsure.

Lydia looks at Lars in disbelief, she can't believe he doesn't know what laid means unless..... A sly smirk appears on Lydia's lips. "Are you a virgin?" Lydia asks bluntly.

Lars's entire face turns red. "I...." Lars contemplated whether he should lie and say no. Lars sighs defeated. "I am." He swallows his embarrassment and confirms Lydia's suspicions.

Lydia looks at Lars shocked by his confession, she can't understand how a boy that looks like Lars can still be a virgin because if Lars had to ask her to sleep with him she'd have a hard time saying no, so she can only imagine how impossible it would be for other girls to deny his advances. Lydia's not unhappy by his answer, in fact she's thrilled by it, it means she'll be the first to conquer this mountain of a boy. She already feels shivers of pleasure just thinking about Lars's naked body, even with his shirt on she can see his well defined chest and abs ready to burst out of his tight fitting t-shirt.

"Lydia! Lydia!" Lars has been calling out to Lydia but she's been ignoring him.

Does she hate me now that she knows I'm a virgin? Lars thinks to himself confused.

"Lydia!" He gently shakes her arm.

"Oh sorry." Lydia seems to come out of her stupor. "What were you saying?" Lydia asks.

"I was asking if it's a bad thing." Lars says to her.

Lydia contemplates her answer. She doesn't believe it's a bad thing but if the girl he ends up with, for example her, isn't a virgin then it would probably be a bad thing, but she could teach him a thing or two, that would be the kind neighborly thing to do. What does it say in the Bible, love thy neighbour. Lydia rationalizes to herself.

"It's not exactly a bad thing, but having experience definitely helps."

"Okay, that's good and all but who would want to sleep with me." Lars says self-deprecatingly.

Lydia looks at him like he's an idiot. Have you seen yourself? All you'd have to do is ask a girl and she'd be willing to do it. Lydia thinks to herself shocked at his lack of self-awareness.

Lydia decides to enact her plan. "Well, I suppose I could as they say take one for the team and teach you a few things." Lydia says it like she's an unwilling sacrifice but she doesn't mind at all.

"You...you'd do that for me?" Lars asks hopeful.

"We're friends right?" Lydia asks and Lars nods confirming their friendship. "Friends help each other out, just like I'm willing to help you out."

"I really appreciate it Lydia." Lars says gratefully.

Lydia smirks. "No problem, that's what friends are for."
