Desmond considered himself a patient person, although occasionally reckless. Usually, it took something quite drastic to make him angry or lose his temper. Apparently, being seriously injured and poisoned while his travel companion remained not only indifferent but mockingly amused was one of those things that could irritate him.
"Kyuru, can I ask what you're doing?" Though he tried to avoid it, Desmond's voice came out tinged with a resentment that was hard to miss.
However, Kyuru, who didn't even need to hear his tone to know he was upset, acted as if she was completely unaware. "Well, your fight was taking too long, and it didn't seem like you needed much help, so I took a moment to find myself a snack."
As if she thought she hadn't said enough, Kyuru added, "The shape is a bit strange, but they're surprisingly delicious."
