Those places were similar to Fengqiu Mountain, all being rarely visited mountain forests.
Normally, Demon Evil wouldn't stay in mountain forests for too long. After all, few living souls enter these forests. Even if Demon Evil were to appear there, they would quickly leave and set their sights on villages, or even towns. The flesh of living beings is the primary means for Demon Evil to grow stronger. If they just waited like sitting ducks in the forest, it would yield no significant effect.
