Ever since they heard that the Ancient Man Snake was inserting objects into the God Star, Anthony, Negris, and Durken have been very curious about how it was done. In the past, they knew that the Star Progeny Master had once inserted objects into the God Star, causing the Light Disaster.
They later learned that the Star Progeny Master had inserted 'consciousness' into it. Consciousness is intangible and easy to insert, just find an empty spot, open a rift, and you could instantly pour a large amount of consciousness and spirits into the God Star.
However, the place where the Ancient Man Snake was inserting objects was deep within the God Star, and it's very likely not inserting consciousness and souls, as it did not trigger the Light Disaster.
