Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 Little Dragon: Dad, I've brought your daughter-in-law home!

At that moment, the sound of a car engine turning off came from outside the house.

Five understatedly luxurious black Bentleys brought Si Mingjing to the Ye Family estate. As soon as she got out of the car, the little fellow excitedly pulled Si Mingjing into the living room, shouting loudly.

"Dad, Dad, your son has brought your daughter-in-law home!"

Mo Yinhe's pitch-black pupils instantly boiled with murderous intent. But before he could get up to give the troublemaking brat a beating, he was overtaken by a severe coughing fit.

Mo Yinhe's fingers curled into a loose fist, held flat against his lips in an attempt to stifle the cough. However, far from controlling it, the coughing only intensified...

In the end, he even coughed up blood.

Ye Shen, who had been sent flying by a kick, scrambled up in fright.

"Bro, Bro, are you alright? Stay calm, don't get worked up! Isn't it just your daughter-in-law coming home?"

Mo Yinhe shot a cold glare his way, his pitch-black pupils exuding an utterly intimidating, chilling pressure. "Shut up!"

How could he be worked up? It was clearly the anger causing his old ailment to flare up.

Ye Shen was no longer in the mood for jokes and quickly dialed Old Master Song. "Hello, Old Song, my brother's old ailment has flared up. We need you to come over... What? If my brother doesn't marry your granddaughter, you won't treat him anymore? How can you be like this, old man... Hello? Hello? Damn! He actually hung up?"

TAP, TAP, TAP, TAP...

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached.

A striking woman strode quickly to Mo Yinhe, grasped his elegant wrist, and lightly placed two fingers on his pulse.

She wore a camel-colored cashmere coat that was both warm and accentuated her elegant, coolly confident aura.

Mo Yinhe looked straight ahead, his cold eyes devoid of any emotion. As they landed on the focused face of the woman taking his pulse, his coolly defined lips tightened slightly. "What are you doing?"

The woman didn't answer. Instead, she took out a Silver Needle she carried with her and inserted it into the Yangbai Acupoint on his forehead.

Then, she prepared to insert another...

Her slender wrist was suddenly caught in Mo Yinhe's strong grip.

Only then did Si Mingjing raise her head. She boldly met Mo Yinhe's eyes, so dark they seemed to swallow light, and said, "Trust me."

Her voice wasn't loud, but her dark phoenix eyes flashed with a soul-stirring power, utterly mesmerizing.

"Dad, my woman is super amazing! You're hurting her, let go!" the little fellow exclaimed, seeing his father "bullying" his woman. He immediately used both hands, struggling to pry Mo Yinhe's constraining grip open.

Si Mingjing took the opportunity to withdraw her hand.

She continued with the acupuncture, her movements both swift and accurate.

After three needles, Mo Yinhe's violent coughing suddenly stopped. The little fellow immediately jumped up, beaming triumphantly.

"Dad, didn't I tell you my woman is amazing? But even though my woman saved you, you're not allowed to try and marry her in return, you hear? First come, first served! If you're too slow... you won't even get a sniff!"

Mo Yinhe's mouth twitched slightly, unable to control his deep, cold voice. "You little rascal, how old are you to be wanting a woman?"

However, this woman really did have some skill. With just three needles, the surging old ailment seemed to be suppressed by an overwhelming force, allowing him to breathe easier.

The little fellow tilted his proud little head. "Dad, didn't you save Mom and then force her to marry you? Mom didn't want to, and you locked her in your room for three days and nights, not letting her out!"

Hmph! What hypocrisy! It's like saying officials can set fires, but commoners can't even light lamps!

Mo Yinhe's face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot. "..."

Si Mingjing, sitting beside him, couldn't help but laugh. So this little live wire, who always says the most outrageous things, actually inherited it? Is this a family tradition?
