Chapter 7 - Ch.7: Collapse

Shaun after a quick sprint, finally makes it to the edge of Gleamwood and pulls out the request from inside his cloak and it reads *Head to the south of Gleamhill and look for the large grey warehouse with the dark blue shutter door with a white graffiti in the lower right hand side that reads "Long gone", knock three times and say "Bloodhound" then wait*.

Frowning, he double checks the instructions and then folds it back into his cloak, Shaun pulls up his hood, obscuring his face and then takes off to the south of town, once crossing into what Shaun believes counts as the south of Gleamhill he jumps to one of the tallest buildings nearest him and clamps his claws into the walls, scaling up and standing on top of this 3 story apartment building, he surveys the majority of this section of town.

Sweeping his eyes over the landscape he spots the corner of a building that looks like the grey warehouse, hoping to see more Shaun leaps 30 feet in the air and with the additional height spots the blue shutter door, smiling and too busy lost in thought thinking about the reward for this job Shaun doesn't realise he was decending and as he looks down, coming back to his current surrounding and positioning himself so he doesn't land awkwardly lands with a crack, staying still for a few seconds in a crouch, sighs with relief and stands up "Really need to soften my landings when in town, otherwise its going to draw attention that I don't need, don't want my picture to end up on that board for making people things there's a weird creature slinking about their town at night".

Dusting his cloak off Shaun takes a step intending to get to the edge of the building and is intending to leap but before he can he hears another crack, feeling his foot sink into the floor and his ankle being gripped by the concrete, raising his light grey eyebrows he looks down and curses "This can't be good" and as he tries to free is foot the roof gives way and with a swift drop lands with a crash and a shower of rubble, dust fills the room and coughs can be heard from himself and two distinct older voices to his left can be heard once the sudden noise has settled.

"What the bloody hell is going on?" questions the elderly man, "Keep calm dear your hearts not what is used to be" says the woman sitting on the couch next to him, Shaun groans and wipes his face trying to clear the dust from his eyes, "Dear there is a man in our living room, he must have fell from that hole" says the woman worriedly while shaking her husbands arm, "Well he's got a lot of explaining to do for putting a hole in our home" grumbles the man scowling at Shauns disheveled form "And for ruining our coffee table that's he has landed on" added the now very annoyed man apon realising what's under the rubble.

"Boy are you all right?" Shaun looking around realising he is in someone's living room, "Shit!" leaping to his feet which in turn gives the two elders a shock, grabbing two thousands from his pocket and tosses it at the man before leaping back through the hole calling back "Sorry" and leaving the man looking at the hole and staring in disbelief of what just happened "Did he just jump?!".

Shaun leaps with all haste to the opposite building and keeps jumping over and over getting as far away as can be from his major screw up "That's probably going to be a problem later but I can't think of that now, I gotta get on with this job" after a couple minutes of jumping from rooftop to rooftop Shaun finally lands on the building opposite the one he could now see was the correct one after all, checking to make sure noone is around he drops down and makes his way to the door, Knocking three times with a clang sounding with every knock before muttering "Bloodhound" the door adjacent to the shutter flies open and a middle-aged woman with a large double-barrel shotgun comes out and points it staights at Shaun "Whatchu want?!" calls the woman, Shaun with a cautious look says "I'm here about the guard job, if you'll allow I can reach in and reveal the notice".

The woman not lowering the gun nods sharply and he slowly pulls out the request and opens it up and turns it towards her, snatching it from Shaun she reads it and looks back at him, "You're not what I was expecting" she says looking Shaun up and down measuring him up "What are ya then, witch, changling, shifter?" Shaun looks on quizzically before flashing his eyes red at her "Something that that gun isn't gonna do much against" he states before crossing his arms and frowning at her "Do you need a guard for this place or not?" Shaun questions, the woman's demeaner completely changes and smiles from ear to ear "Yes yes of course, can't be to careful nowadays right?" she gestures with her gun, "Um" Shaun grunts "Can you stop aiming that a me, I don't want my cloak ruined, it's my favourite item I own" still frowning at her, "Ah sorry come on in I'll give you a tour and explain the job in detail".
