Way back,before The Tyranny of Gladya,and the Age of Peace,Humans and Greencoats fought a war,a long,destructive war that consumed all in it's path.
Humans and Creepers were sworn enemies,the worst of foes to ever clash in a single world.
My mother,Klovis,was one of those many soldiers that fought in the fruitless war of nature vs humanity. Greencoats seemed to be the last defense against humans,the only thing preventing our reign,were humans building atop the natural world we worked so hard to carve.
Klovis began making underhanded moves,teaching Greencoats of the art of Ambush,and how to detonate like a freshly lit stick of dynamite like our not so distant cousins.
The humans suffered as many losses as our own. A forever balanced fight.
Until one day,a human was brave enough to walk through our forces,free of violence or hate. He was a tall,powerful human,like you,yet weaponless.
We did not attack,out of honor for the human's valor and bravery. Klovis and the Human spoke,not as individuals,but as one,to end a centuries long war in a battle that could not be won by normal means.
Just like you,Grayson,the human spoke of a time when all species,regardless of type,were locked into a time of peace and cooperation. A time when Humans,Greencoats,even Monsters lived side by side not as enemies,but as Cooccupiers of the same world.
Klovis was the only one to join his cause,as the Greencoat's leader and oldest mentor. Many of us didn't lead the factor of trusting a human,only for their destructive tendancies.
But Klovis showed us the right light. Co-operation could exist between two completely different humanoid species..
Such an answer became the responsible man,Krubis,also my father. Greencoats belived in all siblings,so long as they shared our DNA,and they did.
Upon Krubis forging a kingdom from the dirt up,joined by the Miners,many half human monsters joined,rather gratuitously,to see to it that a new age of peace could prosper under their reign.
And for a while,granted a long while,Humans and Monsters,halfblooded or otherwise lived in peace.
Every last one of us enjoyed the peaceful agenda,a time in which we could live unburdened by war. Though there was just one soul who wouldn't accept it.
Gladya.
She saw such an imbalance. Be it male,female,or otherwise. All she wanted was to control it all.
Distrust spread like a plague,though short lived,it caused much chaos,and separated us from the King that was intended to lead us all.
Gladya's tyranny spread in that same aspect,separating not species,but gender.
And as to be expected,there was little,minus a soul like yourself to assemble the people under one cause.
It was bloodshed. For many relenteless years,the Males fought a battle they couldnt feasably win,all the way down to the very last king,the first to assemble us.
He went missing,nobody knows why or how,just that it happened,and the only people to blame,were a gender on the verge of victory.
20 years passed,with Gladya leading the public in brutal,sexist ways unexpected of anything before us. The world became wild,untamed,save for the cities and villages erected by the Miners to protect us from her tyranny.
Until you finally came along. Though confused in your gait through this world,you have opted to help a seemingly fruitless cause,one to be feared by many in normal means,were it not for the promise of your protection and leadership.
The world owes you a debt,not one of money or people,but of appreciation. You've given them light in the darkest hour.
Now show them what theyre fighting for.
Freedom.
Peace.
Community.
You can do it. Show me youre more than a human that just looks and pollinates good. Show me youre the human male they need in life to continue the fight Krubis couldn't finish.
You're capable. You're powerful.
And you're their only hero.
