After having witnessed firsthand the horrors that the invaders from Zipangu brought to this island, and perhaps to the whole world, Drake had decided to confront the invader's general and their army, and end this once and for all, as quickly as possible. He was not going to bid his time nor wait until something else, nor was he even going to plan something else.
Strategy was pointless when they were in a race against time, even more so when you became as powerful as Drake, he was confident in what he was capable of, and whoever this general was, he was going to first test how truly powerful they were before deciding if he had to actually even strategize. However, he was sure that it wouldn't be a weak foe either, perhaps just ideal for him to test his new strength.
