Despite the immense power of Hajun's attacks, Drake moved swiftly, manifesting giant shields made of glowing metallic scales of gold and rainbow colors. They protected him from explosive damage that should have been capable of shattering most matter, as it could even destroy space itself.

Hajun's many eyes widened as he saw Drake's "shields." They were not physical objects, but something summoned on the spot, and yet they were simultaneously Venerable Equipment, Soul Gear, his own Scales, an Ascendancy Law Divine Ability, and Magic all combined into one.
Indeed.
This was the new Drake.

Hajun saw Drake's glowing eyes moving rapidly within the span of two seconds, which made him furious and confused. He was angry because Drake ignored him and confused because he felt like he was being toyed with.
