The Azure Dragon Patriarch opened his eyes deep in his chambers. His eyes narrowed for a moment in a frown.
The aura in the distance, the one that said someone was learning a Dao, had been strong from the start, leading him to believe someone was learning an important, difficult Dao.
That sort of thing would not have surprised him usually, but today, the worldly laws lasted a bit too long.
The length usually meant one of two things. Either someone was taking their time going through the final mysteries of the Dao they were learning.
Or, they were learning more than a single Dao at the same time.
Which one was it?
If it was the former, he could close his eyes again. But if it was the latter…
"Zhangru," he said in almost a whisper, but Qing Zhangru could still hear his Patriarch's words.
"I am here, Patriarch," Qing Zhangru said from outside the chambers.
"Do you sense this?" the Patriarch asked.
"I do. It's strange."
