Alex spent nearly two weeks with the female dragon, spending every moment he could learning about the bloodline.
Doing so for two weeks was bound to anger any beast, let alone an Azure Dragon, but when Alex gave her a cultivation pill at the end of the first week, with promises of more every other week, the dragon was more than happy to stay with him.
She questioned Alex from time to time about how he came across the pills, trying to get him to slip up and mention the truth instead of what she believed to be the lie—that he had made those pills.
There was no way someone could make that many pills.
But she didn't speak her thoughts aloud, lest he take away the pills. Nine-veined pills weren't rare to find, but they cost so much that she would happily take all that were given to her.
