The bear saw the flicker of light that appeared next to it, but it disappeared just as quickly too, making it wonder what that was. Then it appeared again, flickering on the left side before disappearing.
The confusion inside the beast increased.
A painful prick landed on the bear's back, and when it sensed the region, it saw a thin line on its hide that had been cut through. Another prick appeared on its elbow at the next moment, causing the bear to be worried now.
The flickering light around it increased. One became two, which then became five, and then ten. They increased slowly, while a grin appeared on Pearl's face.
It took the bear a few moments to realize that the pricks it was feeling all over its body had been from these flickering lights.
Immediately, it moved away from Pearl, keeping a distance.
"What… what is that?" the bear asked, but no one would answer it. No one had any idea.
