Alex got through forty or so birds before he saw the next island emerge in the distance. There were still many more tongues of flame to devour, but sadly he would have to move on.
He stepped onto the next island, ready for the next trial.
This time, he saw just a plain grassland, with nothing that looked like an obstacle to him.
The master of the trial emerged from the lava, taking flight in the sky.
"Your trial is simple. Reach the center of the island while surviving the pressure that comes down upon you. Beware, even Divinities will succumb to this pressure. You have five hours."
Alex frowned upon hearing that. Was the pressure this time not supposed to be individual to the people based on their cultivation base? Now that he thought about it, it had stopped being about the individual since the poison island.
That island was not meant for an Immortal at all, with all the Divine-rank poison that was all around. The last trial was also not for an Immortal.
