Pearl left with Bai Jingshen, arriving at a secular courtyard they had stayed at before starting the trial. Bai Jingshen had stayed there since then, waiting for them all to return.
Once they were there, Pearl explained everything to Bai Jingshen, starting from the trial all the way until the end.
He talked about the existence of the remnant of the Three-Legged Crow who was in charge of the three trials. He then talked about the other two beasts whose cores they had received in order to make their Creation.
That was surprising for Bai Jingshen, but that was only the start.
Hearing that the Sun God and Moon Goddess were the Dragon Father and Phoenix Mother, and that their corpses were still present at the center of the hill, had come as a much bigger surprise for Bai Jingshen.
As the two beasts were considered the progenitors of all beasts in various records, he hadn't expected the two to be the same gods he thought had blessed them as well.
