"You lied to us, Patriarch," Caoyang said. "You let 30 of our young White Tigers die, and then protected that Azure Dragon bastard. And to continue protecting him and your own status as the Patriarch, you have now begun lying about the return of the Sun God."
Caoyang looked around, trying to see if anyone would stand up against him. Seeing as no one dared speak in that moment, he continued.
"You cannot move away from consequences by simply claiming the Sun God has returned. Did you really think we would not have asked for proof?"
Lying about the Sun God was a trivial matter in that moment compared to the death of 30 junior White Tigers. To let such a massive number of deaths just go by, even those that weren't in the group of the Purists weren't sure they could trust the Patriarch anymore.
