Eli is literally just sitting there in the mirror smiling at me. "Hey Ruby." He says. I stare at him with my tear stained face with my mouth gaping open.
"E-Eli?" I say and now I am the very most confused. "W-where are you?" I say with the best stability I can muster.
"I really don't know. Where are you?" He asks me. I cant believe he is asking that question.
"I can't believe you. Recognize the background? I'm in my room!" I say, motioning to everything around me.
He stares at me and my ridiculousness before he simply says, "Oh."
"Are you okay? I thought you were dead! What happened to you? Could I come to you? Why is my mirror acting like this? Am I hallucinating? Tell me, tell me, tell me!!!" I start rambling because I can't even believe that I am talking to him.
"Yes I am okay," he says. "And I honestly don't know if I'm dead or not, I think I am, but I'll figure it out. I don't know where I am, so I don't think you can come to me. I do not know how your mirror is allowing you to speak to me. I don't think you're hallucinating either, this ALL seems too real to be that. There, I told you." He says all in one breath.
"Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow." I say. "So this is all real then."
"Uhm... Yeah it is."
"Hold on, how can you be so calm about this! I'm almost 100% sure that you're dead! You are literally sitting there like, hey I'm dead but let's talk about everyday life! Wow!" I say angrily.
"Hold on Ruby, it's okay, we are talking now and that's all that matters, okay?" He says and that just makes me angrier.
"Okay, how do you know I want to talk to you right now!" I say and I break down because I hate being mean to him. "I just want you back!" I say in a whisper. I bring my foot up and swing it up to slam it into the mirror. Instead, what I get, is my foot going right into the mirror. I pull it out and there isn't even a hole in it! "Uhm... what?" I reach out to put my hand on the mirror and it goes right through.
"Ruby, I see your hand through the mirror wherever I am! Try walking through!" He says and now I have so much relief knowing I can physically be in the same room as him again. I look up at him and take a step through.
I stand there and stare at him while I stand in front of him as the mirror is behind me.
