[Training Arena]
Eric and Clara were standing on the arena.
"As promised I will teach you the 2nd step of domain."
Eric spoke and Clara was nodding her head on his every words. Eric found this very awkward but still found this cute to see Clara's love for magic. He continued-
"Before I told you 2nd and 3rd step requires extreme magic control. The 2nd step is a step which is solely I made for you."
Clara's face reddened after his words. But she snapped up quickly and asked
"What do you mean?"
"It means what I said. In my original spell, I don't use this step in my original spell. And this is because of my skill. But it is not the the same case for you. That's why I made this step."
"And what is this step?"
"I will explain it to you."

The step Eric made was similarly to his skill "infinite mana." To use domain, a person needs to have large amount of mana. Except some exceptional people, mana reserves of magicians are not fit for domain. It doesn't mean that most people have low mana. It is just that the domain spell takes too much. In order to create your field it takes large amount of mana and after that if you launch spells in the field, it takes more mana. So the most important aspect in domain spell is mana. Magic control comes in second. Eric have infinite mana, so it is nothing for him to cast the spell but it won't work with other people. So in order to Clara to perform this spell, Eric made this step which doesn't requires the first aspect "mana" but requires the second aspect "magic control". But magic control should be much much better than normal means. And Clara had this quality. The 2nd step was a combination of actions. The 2nd step was to create a field. Specifically it can be termed as "mana field." A field which is made of your mana and due to this you can keep the spells under this field under your control. It sound amazing but requires large amount of mana and extreme magic control. So, after creating the field with your mana, you have to consume pure mana from surroundings to maintain your field. In order words, it is like an automatic machine. You set up machine with difficulty but after this the machine can do the rest work itself and you can concentrate on other matters. The 2nd step was exactly same. It is to create an automatic mana field. A field with your mana but this field will have some magic formations which repairs itself by consuming mana from surroundings, not from the mana of user. It is best solution for low mana capacity and high magic control magicians.

"So, do you think you can do this step??"
"It is insanely difficult. But I have no other choice than to do it. I will try my best."
Clara with new founded ambition starts learning the step as Eric showed it. As expected it was no easy feat to pull it off easily. But Clara was trying again and again till her mana exhausted.
"Today, this much is ok. Practice tomorrow or else your body might break due mana exhaustion. Take a good rest."
Eric spoke this words and turned to leave but suddenly remembered something
"And Clara- here take this."
Eric gave a small ring to her. Clara blushed as soon she took the ring. And she asked
"W-what is this?"
"That is a communicator designed by me. Whenever you need of something, transfer mana to it and send me a message. Don't come to my class like last time."
Clara was embarrassed for misunderstanding his intentions. Though she was a bit happy for receiving a gift from Eric.
At first she thought of him as a disgusting noble but her opinion was overturned. He was not like rest of the nobles. Somehow he was unique than the rest of the people. And perhaps his uniqueness was something that drawed her to him. It was still in progress but surely slowly Clara was unconsciously started to fall for Eric.
