Nooo (in a cheerful voice)
Come on Gray wake up, its morning already.

Gray.!
Gray wakes up on his bed with tears in his eyes.
(4 years earlier when gray was 3 )
"Mom why are those little glitters are shining so much in the sky?" asked the little Gray.
"Those aren't Glitters Gray, they are called stars" said Mom.
"Those are so high up in air, and don't move even for a night like they're so proud of themselves, Gray hates Proud stars" said the little Gray with a angry puff expression on his face.
"Aren't those lovely Gray? they are so up in sky, yet shines so brightly, and are proud of themselves just like your Dad right?" said Mom.
"Does that mean Mom loves them too?"
(Giggles) "Maybe Gray."
"Okay Mom tommorow I'll get my Net with me too and I will catch all the stars for you." said the little Gray with a smile.
"Oh my son, you know they're so far away and they are huge & stong like daddy too. You can't catch them with net" said by Mom.
"Then mom who can catch them for you" asked the little Gray.l with a confused expression on his face.
"Maybe a Black hole" (Giggles) said by Mom.
"A black hole is a huge hole in sky which catches thousand of stars within it and he can catch anything" Mom trying to scare Gray.
"Wow mom they are so amazing" said the little Gray with a shine in his eyes.
"I wish dad was here, I would have asked him to catch a black hole for me"
"Yeah,but he has to do his duties as he is one of the Knights Gray" said by mom.
"Mom I have an idea. I'll become as strong as Dad so that I can catch a black hole by myself for you" said the little Gray.
"Can't believe you're only 5 son. Don't worry you'll become as strong as your Dad. No,even stronger than him one day Gray, I believe in you" (Winked) said by Mom.
"Thankyou mom"
(2 years later)
It was morning,Gray went out in a green garden,in search for the most beautiful flowers he can found. He found for hours and hours looking for those specific flowers to gift his mom.
Gray spent his all in search for the flowers.It was soon afternoon until finally He found those.
"Now I can finally go home,Mom will be really happy to see those" said the Gray covered up with a beautiful smile on his face.
"Hey you what are you doing there?" said by the Kid. They were the kids of the Nobles in the Area.
"Wow those are really beautiful, hand over those to use kid and we'll do nothing" said the 3 kids of Nobles.
"N-No I'll not" said the startled Gray.
The small conversation between kids soon became a fight. Gray did his every thing to protect the flowers, but there was only a little he could do from the start. He clearly can't win from those three. The fight was soon over with Gray heavily injured. He was defeated but not his will.
Watching the fight a young guy came to help Gray. He asked the three to give the flowers back but it soon became a War to fight. The Guy fought with his all to get those back untill he finally defeated the Kids and got them. The win came with a cost,the guy was all swollen over his face.
With a bleeding nose and a smile he asked " Are these yours?"
"Y-Yes" said the young Gray.
"Here take them. By the way, I see you here often playing alone and saw those guys beating you so I thought let's help"
"T-Thank you Sirr"
Gray was really scared so he took the flowers and ran back to his home.
In his home
Gray - These are for you Mom.
Mom- Oh Gray thankyou so much for these beautiful flowers.
Gray - Oh its nothing mom,just please get well soon.
Mom - Yeah I will,and why's your face swollen? Did you fought with someone Gray?
Gray - N-No mom, I just fall on the way.
Mom - Oh Gray! Take care of yourself when you're out. I can't be there everytime with you, you've to learn how to take care of yourself.
Gray - Y-you won't be there?? (Crying)
Mom - Oh Gray, I will be.
Don't cry afterall you're my Strong son right? (With a smile)
(Gray remembers everything that happend today)
"B-But mom" (Tears started coming out of Gray's eyes.)
"I-I'm not strong, I'm weak and I'm really really pathetic" said Gray, by looking down trying his best to hide his tears in his eyes.
"Thats not true Gray, No one is strong from the beginning; Besides I believe in you even if you don't. I believe in you that you can be the strongest of all Gray.(Smiles)
"Really??"
"Yeah Gray!"
"Can I be as strong as Dad someday?"
"No"
Gray looks sadly
"You can be even stronger than him Son" She giggles.
"Well Well, has someone mentioned me?" a voice came from the door.
"Dad!" Said the little Gray.
"Hey son!" he pat Gray, you've grown alot son. You look really strong(winked).
"R-Really?" said Gray being all excited and happy to see him.
"Welcome back dear!
It took you so long hasn't it? she said looking all puffed up and angry
Dad - I'm sorry Jane for taking too long. The Queen ordered us to look out for a group of Savages.
They literally wiped out 3 villages near the end of 2nd capital.
But as soon as I got the news I decided to come here first. My family will be mine first priority always!
Mom - You should've went for the Savages first, your comrades might really need you there honey.
Dad - Don't worry, The command is in the best hands possible. Some savages are no match for the Imperial Knights! (Winked).
Besides how are you Dear?
"I don't know, Its getting worse with time..." said Mom with a serious look in her eyes.
Dad - Oh, I see...
Mom - Gray its getting too late now you should go and sleep.
Gray - But mom I don't really have anything to do tomorrow,I can stay up late too! (Giggles)
Dad - Well how about training with your Dad tommorow morning Gray? (winked)
Gray - Really?? I would love to dad! I want to learn many things from you.!
Dad - Okay Okay son easy! We'll start from tommorow morning, now go and get a good rest. You've to work really hard starting tommorow.
Gray was little scared yet excited for tomorrow
"Sure Dad!"
"Goodnight Mom, goodnight Dad"
Gray was about to leave for his bed but he turns back and decides give his mom a big hug.
"Get well soon mom, I really love you."
"I will Gray, and I love you too, more than the number of Stars even a black hole can store." She replies with a warm smile.
While leaving for his bed Gray noticed that his Mom and Dad had a really serious look on their faces.
Gray wishes them again and sleeps.
(2 Days later)
It wasn't really a normal day for Gray.
The sky was cloudy with raging winds, the aura of the place was really sad. There wasn't anyone who wasn't sad.
Gray had tears in his eyes for what he was seeing was unbearable for him. It was a funeral, a funeral of the person he loved the most in the world, his mom's.
The person he loved the most was gone forever now

As the rain starts, Gray looks up in the sky wondering why is this happening with him.
(2 Weeks later present time)
Gray wakes up with tears in his eyes.
"Knock knock" there was a knock on the door of Gray's bedroom.
"Master Gray, are you awake? It's time for your first day in academy." a voice came from the outside of the door.
"Yes coming Ms.Helda." Gray replied.
Soon after Gray's Mom died, his father appointed Helda as maid. Gray's Father was a knight in the Capital. His works demands his time there, as a result he can't be with him everytime.
It was new day, a new chapter was about to begin in Gray's life "His first day in academy". Its been 2 weeks after that unfortunate event happend in Gray's life, but life just can't stop there right? Gray was 5 now, almost everyone in the country starts their education at the age of 5.
Gray had his breakfast with Ms.Helda, and was about to get dropped to the academy.
It was the first day of the academy. There wasn't many people who know eachother from the start. Gray was shy to begin with as he never interacted with people much. But there was something about Gray that the girls just loved him from the first sight at him, maybe it was because of his White hair with a silver shade or his blue eyes which appears to have a huge mystery dwelling within it.
It was the first day and Gray was already one of the most popular guy's among the girl's. He standed out with his looks and Silverish gray hair that no one was able to pass their eyes without noticing him.
The situation was getting worse and worse for our shy Gray, soon everyone in the class was starting at him.
He didn't want to standout in class but he can't really help it. As Gray was moving his eyes away from people he saw the same guy who saved him earlier with the brawl from those 3 guys.
Gray was relieved but nervous wondering if he can even speak to him. Ironically the same 3 Guys were in Gray's class which made him wonder if its time for him to dropout. There were no other sections in the academy as it was small one in a Village near the 2nd Capital. Due to less population and aspirants to train to become a knight, only few students enroll in academy.
The First class was about to begin almost every guy was jealous of him for taking every girl's attention, what's more? the three guys from that day noticed Gray to and gave him a grim look with their eyes. Gray was dead within himself but was saved by Professor as he started his lecture. The lecture was about mana and manifestations. As soon as Professor started to explain about it the whole class eye's were shining as bright as stars.
He started explaining, In this world everything is bound with a law
1) "Whatever goes comes in one form or another"
for example when a Mage or Knight intakes a certain amount of mana to create an element, the amount of mana will be equal to the amount of Element created.
2) "Affinity"
No one knows what determines it but its the power to recreate or control an element by channeling the mana. Ideally people can only control 3 elements at most from Fire,Water,Wind,Ice etc. These elements are based on your affinity with the particular element. No one knows on what does it really depends. But as I was saying there are some rare exceptions of people controlling even more than 3 elements, although thats super rare like 1 in some thousands.
3) Manifestations
Manifestation is the inborn ability to control or create a certain elements,things or even Creatures sometimes. Its the ability exclusive to its users. Everyone have different manifestations but some people can even have same manifestations, although thats quite rare.
Some people says Manifestations are inborn or decided even before you're born. Some says they're based on how your childhood or life is going on or how you think. No one knows how does it work yet.
One thing to remember about manifestations is that it requires your body to be atleast 14 to be strong enough to handle Manifestations.
For Affinity its 7 years in age.
A point to note is your body can only intake a certain amount of Mana. Intaking more than that can cause some serious problems.
As the class Professor explained these 3 things, everyone got excited wondering what Affinity and manifestations they're going to get. A guy got so excited that he shouted everything he was wondering. The whole class burst in to laughter soon. Yes that was the same guy Gray met the that day.
Everything went good in the academy, all students made some new friends except for our shy Gray as no Guy wants to be friends with him. That wasn't the case with girl's tho.
Soon the day at the academy came to an end and everyone started heading for thier homes.
Gray decided to head back home as now he knew the way back and was guided by Helda because it was the first day. On his way Gray discovers those three boys were waiting someone to show up. They were waiting for Gray to tell the truth.
